But that tightly pulled back all the way around ponytail is not flattering and accentuates the 5head without any of the coolness and masculinity that usually comes with hairline exposing styles (like Roman's). Then there's not having a nose. Even with noses being very understated in most anime styles, they're still there. And the absence is off putting. The murderous sanpaku eyes could work without the other features but, with them, they are piling on the anti-cuteness. Glasses are tricky to pull off and make look good on normal shos, let alone with everything else going on and the glasses themselves looking weird. His clothes are not particularly flattering. He's dressed like a 70 year man on vacation. Even the colors aren't good. Green and pink can go together. But those shades and with the rest it just doesn't work.And none of it is off in an endearing way. Gachapoid has buck teeth but they make him cuter. Nothing here is achieving a similar effect. If I didn't disagree on principle with going out of your way to make a shota not cute, I'd be impressed with how thorough a job this character designer did without resorting to making him fat or visibly diseased.
