Would it kill DC to make minis/maxis with the stories with other Robins?

Nobody buys comics with the no-draw failfag Robins.
Look at how they ruined Robin & Batman by making the sequel about Jason Todd.

Tim Drake was decent during the Knightfall era but you cannot help noticing that Jason Todd would have handled the turmoil in a more entertaining fashion had the edgelords not killed him off. Odds are he would have pushed Azrael towards murder much sooner and then dispatched the schizo himself to prove his moral superiority

Starlin was the only one pushing edgy angry Jason and that would've been curbed as soon as he left. The idea that Jason was constantly murderous or angry is a retcon. It comes out of nowhere when Starlin starts writing him.

I have been reading the DC Finest volumes of Batman that are out so far and it seems to have been more of a conscious editorial decision to change the character post-Crisis into a rougher, street-urchin type of guy with a new origin story. Starlin just dialed it up to 11 because he was a tryhard edgelord, though he did give Jason Todd his finest moment as Robin during The Cult mini. People should read picrel btw, just to see how different the character used to be

Even if DC made more minis/maxis focused on the other Robins, they’d still find a way to ruin their reputations just to prop up another character or force some dumb drama instead of actually letting them have good stories.

Jason's sold like shit and probably made DC nervous about giving Tim one, especially since Tim's solo had bombed a couple years ago lmao.
>>
For what purpose? They do these minis with Dick because all the Dick-Robin comics are old-fashioned, difficult reads. Jason was a flop (they were going to write him out of the title regardless of the result), and there are already plenty of Tim stories.

Why do people say "these minis" like there's a lot of them?
>>
>>153837492
Well there's more than one. And even before this they've done stories like this in the past (Year Three then Dark Victory plus Robin: Year One).

He's had 5 in 5 years, that is a lot desu considering prior to 2021 he had maybe 5 in 15 years
Granted 4/5 of them have been Waid

Yes it would. Jason as Robin doesn’t sell and DC spent all of new 52 destroying what was left of Tim so all of his fans left and now Tim as Robin can’t sell despite having had a 180 issue ongoing 15 years ago.
Anyway a good 3 decades worth of Dick’s Robin shit is unreadable due to most of golden and silver age Batman, Star Spangled Comics, and pre NTT Teen Titans being terrible. If anything Bruce and Dick need MORE early stories that aren’t just Year Ones to capture their dynamic in the modern era.
