this and Moore's Swamp thing are my favorites
>>153838556This run was butchered by crossovers by the end, there was no proper resolution to the Typhoid Mary storyline, just the Punisher crossover with the bad art and Inferno
Bump
>>153838556Based for picking Nocenti over Miller.
>>153840149I like both same thing with Bendis and Brubacker
Roger Stern Spidey
>>153838556>>153840149I don't get the love for Nocenti or her Daredevil run. Could you elaborate?>>153841192Never read Brubaker, but Bendis' run is dogshit.
>>153841595Well It is Miller's run but more focused but with worse art
I will read anything Kurt Busiek puts his name on
>>153843035even with Alex Ross?
>>153838556I'll post my top nine later.
>>153843053ESPECIALLY with Alex Ross
>>153843209do it now
>>153843247
>>153843540I'm busy.
>>153843567>Being this contrarian You're not a cool kid
>>153845395Ross should just draw covers anything else looks cheesy as fuck
>>153845500That page looks pretty majestic to me.
>>153845880If you like looking at statues sure is
>>153846096I do, but what's that got to do with it? These are paintings.
>>153841595>I don't get the love for Nocenti or her Daredevil runNTA but I liked it because of how weird it was and that it wasn’t just a copy/paste of Miller’s stuff.
>>153838556Morrison’s X-Men run is probably my all time favorite. It took the franchise into a cool direction that wasn’t just maudlin drama or “THE FOCUSED TOTALITY OF MY PSYCHIC POWERS”. It’s a real shame Marvel just was like “nope, back to the maudlin drama” immediately after Morrison left
>>153841644>>153848008Those are some poor ass reasons for liking something.
>>153838556Captain America's most memorable appearances always seem to be in a Daredevil book
>>153838556It (and the preceding minis) is unironically the best Spider-Man comic of the last 30 years. The only problem is that it doesn't get a proper resolution due to McKeever signing with DC and Terry Moore's follow up series being so bad it completely killed everything.
>>153850148I disagree
>>153848055The moment that the X-Men became unbearable dogshit
>>153850597Thats not astonish
>>153850597NTA, but that was Claremont.
>>153851022trying way to hard
>>153850350I think a case could be made for either one and probably Fake Red as well. But I like SMLMJ a little more.
>>153848055I like the status quo of the Morrison era and the variety of diferent types of books it produced. Books like X-Statix or Academy X or District X or Mystique were incredibly different and the set up of the Morrison era allowed them to exist. But as an actual book I don't like NXM all that much and I don't think either of the two main X-books would have an actual solid run until Carey took over Adjectiveless.
>>153838556>>153843209My current top nine favorite comic book runs.>Tom Strong>Top Ten #1-12 plus Smax #1-5>Saga of the Swamp Thing #20-64>B.P.R.D.: Plague of Frogs>Bacchus (aka Deadface)>"Locas" from Maggie the Mechanic through The Love Bunglers>Mage: The Hero Discovered>Preacher>Cerebus #1-200In case you guys want to make your top nine:https://www.befunky.com/create/collage/
