I just watched the whole dang thing, it's bad but it's not as bad as big mouth. There's not as much grossed out humor as I thought there was going to be it just kind of okay. And the raccoon wasn't as annoying as I thought it was going to be

Big mouth was just disgusting, everything about it was grotesque I think when you have characters that look like animals the design isn't as jarring as it would be with a human. Don't get me wrong it had all the tropes you would think it would have but hell of a lot more toned down and disgusting this, I guess I have extremely low expectations so it kind of surprised me of how good it was at meeting those expectations and beating them. A few jokes land not all of them of course but I was just expecting terrible awful ness what I got was okayness, even when the bear bit off the other Bear's penis we never got to really see it so it didn't really affect anything. The lesbian Fox from Canada was at least funny a bit, the deer was fine as a character even the raccoon wasn't as bad. I'm actually in shock right now that it was bad but it didn't make me want to go into a blind rage

Big Mouth heavily relies on shock value and puberty/sexual matters through gross and awkward lens.
Mating Season seems to go for rampant hornyness instead and it does it's "relationship issue of the week" thing with much more sincerity than Big Mouth ever did any of it's plots. Though it has it's gross moments they're tame enough to not reach the offensive levels Big Mouth did.

Every single “adult animated series” is like this, it’s not remotely edgy or adult it’s these incredibly blank characters saying dick and a bunch of sex shit, there’s no plot of characterization, the character designs are ugly as fuck the animation is cheap and horrible, they constantly get spat out and are totally interchangeable. Like you could swap all of the dialogue with any other one of these generic shows and no one would ever even notice.

On its own it would be fine but it pisses me off when halfway interesting, funny, or slightly more substantial or unique shows get neglected or canned and this slop gets promoted, I actually prefer some AI slop over this, which is so bland it might as well be AI generated anyway.
