No, this shit was mid.

Rick and Morty won.
>>
frankly, I'm glad they're gone
>>
>>153846501
they somehow speedran the seasonal rot other shows had over the span of decades and let boss take over like randy with southpark. I don't believe there was no actual good ideas left for the show but I do believe zach and michael ran out of good ones anyways since they seem to be retarded

>>153846532
yeah, a golden plumbus
>>
>>153846501
Not particularly. They're not on my mind often.
>>
No. It really lost steam after the first season but i guess s3 was still better than s2. I'm not sad it's over but I'm not too bothered because a fourth season probably wouldn't be that great.

every day
I wouldn't even mind if the last seasons were inferior because this is an episodic show and I could always just cherrypick my favorites
>>

Yes. I enjoyed it, but also am glad they knew their limits.

I get why Charlie became the one women pretended to be attracted to in order to virtue signal but how come Mr. Boss wasn't chosen either?
>Excitable, non-threatening boyish side when in a good mood
>Unhinged aspect of his personality which is perfect "I can fix him" bait
>Runs a successful business and is always wearing a suit
>Charismatic enough to where his employees like him and he managed to find a woman to marry showing he's high value
>Lots of scenes where he's shirtless
>Has homoerotic tendencies

Allan was the most attractive Smiling Friend, nuff said.
>>
Nah, it was just okay.

I also still have no idea who the creators are, nor do I care.

Knowing what we know now (which still isn't much) Smiling Friends never seemed like a show the creators spent an extended number of years developing and perfecting into the final product Adult Swim bought but rather like something they threw together just because they were given the opportunity to pitch after getting an "in" with Justin Roiland.

Which is why I still find it so weird they came to be so precious and protective over this silly show, to the point where they backed out of a confirmed 2 more seasons. SF always seemed like a vehicle for them to come up with fun ideas and experiment with close friends and colleagues; not some high art they needed to think long and hard about. The writing and dialogue and scenarios seemed like they came naturally to them, with only the visuals and different animation styles being the "hard part." 27 episodes just seems like too little for something that was still basically starting out and had so much more potential.

CORRECT

i mean if you wanna tinfoil hat a bit, i would imagine the looming merger contributed to the desire to end the show early. that could just be one of a billion reasons though.
>>
The fact we didn't have threads about this show till now just further proves how much of a nothingburger SF was, at least culturally.

No? I was there for the April Fools threads, and it was one of the most discussed shows on this board. It even spawned a few schizos.
