>2026>I am forgotten
It’s a show about nothing.
>>153847180maybe it should have been less boring.this shit was like the quintessential animated version of a le mystère box show - heavy on the superficial signs and tropes of complicated lore, but lacking any meaningful depth or substance to the characters or the world.
>>153847180the Netflix reanimated version makes it seem like Nat had no idea what she wanted this show to be besides a few vague sketches and concepts drawn up about puppycat’s backstory. All the changes are weird and bad to me, Bee being a robot was a good twist because it wasn’t obvious, the reboot makes everyone comment on how shes immortal and weird from the get go, but why? What’s the point? Why axe the romance? The world being normal seemed to be a pretty major part of it since bee needs money for rent, but the Netflix version completely changes the way everything looks because the town is actually a spaceship
next time provide fanservice or else what is a female lead show for
>>153847619Seriously, what the fuck is it about?
>>153848114something something space pirates something something robots something coma mom something something millenial quirk chungus somethingif this doesn't sound particularly deep or well-thought-out, well, yeah, no shit.
>>153848114>>153848482It’s about nothing!
>>153848972Sounds like my kind off show
>>153847619>
>>153847180Coming out when people were tired of the calart wannable anime artstyle and Tumblr being dead which was bee and puppycat main fandom base of operations killed it day 1.
>>153847180i still haven’t seen the netflix version so i don’t know what line deliveries or minor visual changes there are between that and the leaked season 2, but i stand by the fact that B&PC season 2 is one of my favorite cartoons of all time. it’s absolutely the best example of the soft pastel cartoons of that era. the way they handle the dialogue where it’s all mumbly and earnest is really great, no shitty anime dub performances here. toast and bee are two of the hottest girls in animation and i pray someday we’ll get a bit more from the story, but even if it’s never concluded im very happy with what we’ve got. it feels like a webcomic in cartoon form and achieves that way better than any of the other shows that could have been that.
Released at the wrong time and would probably do better today as there are more aimless failure young adults seeking validation
>>153849426it is a cute show. Not the greatest thing ever, but good for a "Miyasaki but Amerimut"
>>153849563The Netflix version is awful. Don’t bother.
>>153847180The artstyle change from the very first one made me lose interest
>>153847180The show bombed so hard Natasha Allegri can’t get work anywhere. She posts nonstop about being broke on social media, fantasizing about being in a findom relationship, overshading about being on fetlife, and doing bunny graffiti around Brooklyn.
>>153854571>fantasizing about being in a findom relationship, overshading about being on fetlifeThis would explain why she blocked me over a joke I made on Twitter; she had just gotten a Ko-fi donation of $50 from Jim "Garfield" Davis and I joked this had to have been better than guys just leaving the money on the dresser
>>153847180well given its sporadic release schedule over several years then a reboot that happened when most people werent looking, it's easily forgettable. The pilot in 2013 was the most memorable part. It's pure millennial wank at the end of the day and will be lost to time along side other millennial shows that just sort of existed in this weird flux state.Bravest Warriors is another show that went nowhere, got rebooted and no one cared as it was on some obscure ass service no one watched, but it didnt matter as it lost any of its initial charm as well. Also Millennial wank
>>153854571>posts nonstop about being broke>lives in BrooklynI hate trust fund cunts so much it's unreal.
>>153854891>trust fund cuntsShe's originally from the rez here in Arizona you retard
>>153854891Ah yes, the trustafarian who went to the ivy league college of…Arizona State UniversityTell me anon, how long have you been retarded
>>153847180
>>153847180She's a fat, insensitive asshole. I like iyashikei type anime but not with jerks like this
Good. >>153847619This
>>153854565It made a LOT of prospective Bee and PuppyCat fans lose interest. Still don't understand what the hell they were thinking with that move
>>153849464kek
>>153847934fuck
>>153847180This was a good learning experience for me about crowdfunding and indie animation.
>>153847180Good riddance
>>153847180The voice direction in this was a real trendsetter
>>153849563>the way they handle the dialogue where it’s all mumbly and earnest is really great
>>153858408Anon is a fan of 2000's mumblecore
>>153847180I miss my wife Toast
>>153847180.........is there anything worth remembering? it's just quirky weird girl kind of sucks at life the show, and all we get is that she fumbles through everything. Also she is some kind of robot for some reason. the end. There is nothing memorable or great to want to remember it so it gets tossed into the pile of weird crap from the 2010s.
>>153847830Kind of fits with the typical tumblr based pitch. They are almost all backstory of 1-2 characters and no idea what in the fuck the actual episodes of the series would turn out to be.
>>153847180It's my favorite show to put on in the background when I am doing work. It's got nice, calming synth music and a pleasant style. Also, Bee kind of reminds me of my sister.
>>153858408Eh more naturalistic delivery in a cartoon stood out at the time believe it or not
>>153856611
>>153847180I dropped the show when the pilot was all about her being broke, then suddenly when it went to full series her place is fully decorated with no explanation on where she got the budget for thatcouldn't even stick to the premise
>meme and trannycat
>>153863269She’s probably broke because she spends her paychecks on fairy lights from five below.
>>153863269Did you know that the creator then became broke IRL?
>>153854571>overshading about being on fetlifelink?
>>153861337>fat>no fupathis unfortunately does not exist
>>153847180Good.
>>153860923> It's got nice, calming synth music and a pleasant styleAutist detected.Summer camp Island was a similar brand of no-conflict comfy core
>>153854891Are you under the impression that everyone who lives in Brooklyn has a trust fund?
>>153863340Stfu
>>153847180I would never forget her!
>>153860923Finally, another anon who actually liked the show. I watched the YouTube series and the Netflix one and I enjoyed it. The Netflix series was a little boring and slow sometimes, but the cute fantasy stuff made me stay with it. I don’t know if there is a future for the franchise tho which is kinda sad.
>>153847180the most interesting thing that happened with this show was fred seibert leaking the entire thing on vimeo then shortly stepping down from frederator afterward
>>153847180Nothing of value was lost. The first pilot looked interesting, then the rest of the series came and it was just a mushy mellow drama. There were no stakes, it was like a really weird slice of life mixed with a half baked/implemented cosmic romance drama.
>>153864292The irony is the creators are anti-Christian.
>>153861337robot mommy
>>153847180Good. You're better off that way.
Season 1 wasn't that bad for slice of life slop but season 2 was shit and it was all over the place
>>153861337absolutely hot!
>>153861337she looks so squishyy
So what's Nat up to nowadays?
>>153865108Something tells me he did that on purpose
>>153847180This show is highly satanic because it has aliens aka DEMONS
>>153874349Graffitiing bunnies in BrooklynDoing furry porn commissionsCruising fetlifeComplaining about being brokeOccasionally tabling at a con or a market
>>153865108A man of the medium
>>153847180It needed more Toast
>>153874483Why are you looking for Satan when you should be looking for Jesus?
>>153874498the life of a TRUE artist
>>153860923>Also, Bee kind of reminds me of my sister. Is she fat like her also?
>>153874483are you that same person that was on pokememes years ago that tried to link everything to premarital sex and sin?
>>153854571>The show bombed so hard Natasha Allegri can’t get work anywhere. She posts nonstop about being broke on social media, fantasizing about being in a findom relationship>>look up her birth date>>39yoSo she's just another unwanted spinster coping hard that there's not enough betabuxx anymore like many of the shiity millennial women from the tumblr era currently are, lmao
>>153847180Any hope for next season?
>>153847180>2013>make first Bee and Puppycat>two episodes for kickstarter>very good interactions between characters>everybody loves it>2014>make second Bee and Puppycat>ten episodes on Youtube>not as good character interactions, drop in animation quality, more of an eventual mystery plot and cliffhanger>people kind of okay, disappointed it isn't as good, still willing to give it a chance>2020>make third Bee and Puppycat>sixteen episodes on Netflix>animation is noticeably worse, character interactions are worse or removed entirely, whole vibe is gone in exchange for a mystery running thru the whole show>most people have stopped caringI'm not surprised that it's forgotten in 2026. Every revision just took away more and more of what people liked about it, in exchange for making everybody more annoying and some dumb mystery that anybody who watched episode 10 of the webseries could've mostly figured out. It's like somebody heard people talking about the whole mystery/unfinished reveal from the earlier versions, and thought that a new series devoted to JUST THAT and removing everything else was what everybody wanted. It probably didn't help that every version was just a remake of the last, so it wasn't as if it's SEASON 1 and then SEASON 2 and then SEASON 3 and you didn't like S3 but were fine with the show overall. No, they all cover the same content, so not only are people going to compare them for their favorite version, but they get to directly compare the same events in each version and see how they got progressively worse each time.
>>153847180It finally came out just when normies were already tired of Calarts Tumblr style shows So it didn't had a leg to stand on.
