I liked Justice League Elite as a high-power superteam that's edgelordy but not outright villainous. Too bad they only got their 12 issues and vanished after that.>isn't that just Authority?Nah, Authority is different. JLElite was more like a "black ops" spinoff of JLA.

I have kind of an on again off again relationship with the X-Men. However in the grand scheme of things they might be my all time favorite superhero team.
JSA
Excalibur (Claremont/Davis), especially if you've read Captain Britain prior.You get the couple dynamic with Cap/Meg, the edgy lancer with Rachel, the bromance Kurt/Kitty, rivalry with Cap/Rachel, Kurt/Mag tension...never felt right with the other additions and later teams.

>>153858366Yeah, really briefly and basically only for the Defenders. She was a neurosurgeon and Soviet dissident named Tanya Belinksy who took up the mantle after her father (also a dissident, but not a Red Guardian) was sent to Siberia. She joined the Defenders completely by accident when Dr. Strange ended up having to deal with Nebulon shenanigans while she was visiting the States.She ended up being pursued by an eccentric geneticist called the Presence who nuked them both to give each other superpowers. Tanya didn’t really reciprocate his love but couldn’t do anything about it (he had mind control powers), so the Defenders ended up getting involved. This eventually led to the aforementioned geneticist realizing that he was coming on too strong, which left him so depressed that he essentially fucked off to space forever. (Unless some future writers brought him back for whatever reason, I don’t know.) Tanya ended up in Soviet custody (because she was constantly emitting radiation, so couldn’t stay with the Defenders) and I’m not sure if she’s been heard from since.

>>153863336Moore got bored with his toys too early. That team deserved more than two adventures. Then again, they were so dysfunctional it made perfect sense. Either way, I'd have gladly traded the (mediocre) Nemo books for stories with the earlier teams, or the full Les Hommes Mysterieux plot.
