If this show was short-lived and obscure, that would've been one thing. But, it's a major CN show. That's sad.
>>153866532Mr. Enter revisionist history caused this. If anything, I would have thought of foster's as one of the more saccharine shows when I was a kid.
Why do people hate it? I havent watched it since I was a kid but I liked it.
>>153866633>Writing and most of the characters were too mundane/boring/soft>Royal Jerkface Bloo/Cheese/Bendy/Goofball Johnson McGee
I don't think you can say people hate this show when the main female character is one of the most jerked off to characters in cartoons.
>>153866633People realized that Bloo was basically a reverse hazing ritual for everyone around. Just making everyone's lives worse on purpose with no redeeming qualities, written to be that way. And the show would be much better without him.Me personally i think a better protagonist in general would help. Bloo is only so terrible because Mac can't properly stand up for himself. So they're two weak halves of a whole realistic kid MC
>>153866693Smutt can exist in a vacuum
>>153866702hm good post
>>153866532I love this show. Literally one of the most creative and fun premises to a show. Only faggots who complain about mean-spirited hate this show. Bloo is fine, everyone thinks they’re cool because they hate him, everyone parrots the same shit about Bloo and overhates him on reddit and youtube comments. He wasn’t that bad. Chill out.
>>153866532Sounds like a (You) problem. Most people seem pretty fond of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, even if we all agree it's McCracken's weakest show character-wise. Just because we're willing to critique where it might've overdone it with some of its conflicts among the main cast, doesn't necessarily mean we "hate it." If anything, that shows just how passionate we are of Foster's.
>>153866679No
>>153866532The premise is fun. The art direction is fantastic. Character designs? Right in McCracken's wheelhouse, they look great. The characterization and stories? Obnoxious. And that's what torpedoed the show for me. It's not just Bloo, it's Mac, it's Frankie, it's Eduardo, it's Coco, it's just about everyone. So much screaming and showboating is grating on the ears.Wander Over Yonder was a much stronger effort in my eyes, which made it all the more painful when it was canceled.
>>153869341It can be that bad.
>>153866532I still like it, fuck the haters.
bloo carries most of it.shame everyone else is not that interesting with some exception
>>153866532/co/ isn't everyone
>>153873798It isn't?
My penis inside of the redhead.
>>153866604It's funny because Mr. Enter actually likes this show
>>153869341Yeah foster sucked even back then
>>153866702You can see what they're going with him, as a good hearted troublemaker, but the problem is that most endearing ones are set in a premise/scenario where there's an authoritarian edge to it where the troublemaker then comes across as a rebel.Foster's just isn't this authoritarian environment where he's rebelling against. Yes Mr Herriman can have a stick up his ass etc but in general we see everyone get along, things work, there's no dictator to overthrow. So Bloo just comes across as a jerk who rebels without a cause.Compare Recess, where obviously as adults we see how useful rules are, but the tone is that of authoritarianism that the main kids rebel against. We can cheer on the kids as they get a leg up on the adults.
>I'm a lady
>>153875862does he really?
>>153866532i liked the show, the redhead should have molested mac
