You guys want to talk about Batman villains? I'll start. Despite the overexposure and the shitty adaptations over the years, I still like The Joker. He's best when he's got gag weapons like the electric joy buzzer, acid flower, Joker toxin, prop gun, etc. Not only that, but he's best written as an "artist", essentially doing any range of crime from theft to a bombing simply based around a joke he himself finds funny. The lame Ledger shit takes spotlight way to often. While yes there is nihilism to the character, Joker shines best when its all about The Joke. It leads to creative, and fun, writing when done correctly. Like the Laughing Fish bitAnyway post other bat-baddies
I feel like Maxie Zeus is kind of underrated, I like his whole Greek gimmick and him actually being a physical threat in BTAS because he's ripped is cool.I could 100% dig him being a sort of hellenistic neopagan of sorts.
>>153872379The unfortunate problem with Maxie Zeus is that his insanity and delusions reach comedic degrees given that he truly believes he is the Greek god Zeus. Which leads to the bigger problem that is his image, which was unfortunately tarnished by the shit eating thing. Not saying he is beyond salvaging, just saying that's the first hurdle. Similar to how Mad Hatter was written off as a pedo.I kinda liked his armor in The Batman cartoon. Hard angle into the cult angle, as many people seek purpose and answers. Not like Deacon Blackfire is doing anything lately

>>153872100I think they should give Professor Pyg to Nightwing since Batman already has Joker.
>>153872100silver age joker was actually incredibly sanehe even considered faking mental illness to go to jail rather than the asylum (not arkham, which didnt exist yet)just an interesting thing of note, when jokers that lean more into silver age silliness are more likely to portray joker as being outright insane rather than simply a clown-themed villain
I don't read batman so I don't know if this has been done, but you could mix joaquin and ledger Jokers to have a bad guy that wants gotham's people to get mad enough to violently raise against gotham. Joker is fine as someone who does things for laughs, but hes not a good arch-nemesis to Batman ideologically. It seems to just boil down to Joker testing Batman's no-killing rule, which is a perversion of him doing vigilante justice, which is about trying to uphold the law despite the corruption of gotham.
