Because half of this stuff feels like it's probably a boarder not understanding the visual style and humor of this specific show, so they keep doing expressions like OP, just like the writing has had 3 characters already talk about "locking in" and Benson saying he doesn't "have the bandwidth" to deal with Mordecai and Rigby. This is the only board I've seen so far and even she admits that she wa doing things horribly off-model "at first", but if this is what the cheap animators had to work with then yeah it's no wonder everything is cobbled together.I think it's probably both the boarders doing dumb shit that doesn't fit the show and Saerom fucking up everything else.

Sometimes it feels like a preschool cartoon with Mordecai and Rigby getting tricked with a fake game like a parent tricks their children. Sometimes it's adult and they won't stop referencing dicks and balls. It's all over the place and in both cases feels like the new people involved are operating on an assumption of what Regular Show was.

Even the Breakfast Club parody had more nuance in him and Benson venting about their family and a sappy ending. It didn't need to have Spongebob writing where every time someone kept saying "stinks" there's a dramatic sting and zoom.
I like how Mordecai turned into a fucking Caveman throughout this entire shot because the rigs they're using are so poorly slapped together they don't know what to do with slightly altered elements and just poorly connect them. It's also common with Rigby lately where his body will slant out past his nose like in the OP, giving him a fat fridge look.
