It's actually crazy how long he had tenure on the character considering he was horribly miscast from the beginning
>>
>>153886444
Obviously not, you retard. The DCEU is dead. The DCU is what's active
>>
No, but don't expect a new one for a good long while.
>>
>>153886500
>The DCU is what's active
Not for long
>>
>>153887028
Snyderfags keep saying this despite zero evidence. Superman did fantastically, people liked that creature commandos thing, they really liked Pacemaker and both Lanterns and Supergirl are looking very promising. The DCU is looking like it's nothing but thriving and already has more goodwill behind it by the audience than any of snyder's shit did as a whole.

It's gonna continue for quite a long time.
>>
>>153887384
Except Supergirl tracking to open as low as The Marvels.
>>
>>153887421
Which means absolutely nothing regarding how well it's going to do because it's entirely unpredictable how many people will see it or not. Bogus statistics based on nothing mean nothing. It's gonna be a hit just like everything else that's come before it because it's being made by people who understand and care about the material.
>>
>>153887384
>Pacemaker
Heh.
>>
>>153888210
>it's entirely unpredictable how many people will see it or not
No one's gonna see Supergirl in droves, dude. Be serious.

>Superman did fantastically
It made 616M on 363M budget. And Demon Slayer of all things beat it.

Demon slayer is a normie anime and anime is popular

Also it outdid chainsaw man since chainsaw man is a slightly harder sell
>im a shonenfag and I know this
>>
>don't mind me, just the best live- action Flash there'll ever be
>>
>>153888245
Demon Slayer was tarded and boring. The other two movies are gonna be just as dumb and boring. I don't know when they started this trend of airing bundled TV episodes as feature films, but this shit needs to stop.
>>153888804
I concur. Chainsaw Man (part 1) is significantly better than Demon Slayer.
>>
>>153887384
nah, whoever is in charge of lanterns is one of those fags embarrassed to be working on something comic related. the dumb thing almost looks like it's in black and white
>>
>>153887384
Who the fuck liked Peacemaker?
>>
>>153892517
No, he made a joke about the executives on a comedy podcast.

Jokes aside, why did Gunn rave so much about this film?
Surely the move was to stay silent and then talk about how unfortunate the situation was later
But no. He kept publicly sucking it off and then hired the director and writer for Batman??
>>
>>153892773
Part of this is because DC spent a lot on the film and WB doesn't want more possible badmouthing about it.

Gunn either tried to help sell it, or maybe he thinks Andy Muschietti and Christina Hodson got a raw deal from having to be on the project and wanted to help them out
>>
>>153892830
There's no denying that they got a raw deal.
>>
>>153889033
His show was hot garbage, got worse and worse as it went on
>>
>>153892839
I mean its not like they wrote a good movie, pedo lead or not
>>
>>153892856
They didn't make The Flash, a team of executives.
>>
>>153892954
Someone had to write that script
>>
>>153892856
It was a project where WB mandated:
>using Flashpoint (because Johns was pushing for it)
>doing a reset to retcon a lot of Snyder's stuff so they can get rid of Affleck and Cavill and set things up for the new trinity they planned to push (Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman)

Remember that this movie was to end with Keaton as Batman to then lead into that shelved Batgirl movie
>>
>>153892971
You're not understanding what I'm saying. Just because someone's name is on it doesn't mean that it is their ideas.
>>
>>153892830
>maybe he thinks Andy Muschietti and Christina Hodson got a raw deal
Gunn has a habit of putting the person before the work, it's why he's always putting his friends in his movies. It's fine when they're good, or it's just a small role, but when he hands big projects to his friends when they've proven they're really, really shit, you end up with someone like Hodson, the writer behind Birds of Prey, Flash and a Batgirl movie so bad it got shelved, being given the next Batman movie
>>
>>153892773
>>153893008
Here's the other question to ask, are they actively doing the projects? Because there is also the possibility that Gunn is helping them out a different way, which is announce they're on a DCU project (signaling to other studios that they're not to blame for a box office bomb like The Flash), and then once they get work on other studios' projects or other WB projects, then the DCU project that they're on gets quietly scuttled or move on without them. It's basically like a PR move to help them recover their rep. Think about the time when after Last Jedi the media kept repeatedly reporting there was certainly going to be a Rian Johnson trilogy, until Knives Out 1 and 2 did reasonably well by whatever metric Netflix is doing
>>
>>153891541
>Demon Slayer was tarded and boring
And yet it still beat Superman and out-earned him AND GTA in total revenue. Try again.
>>
>>153894078
>GTA
wow, beating a 13 year old game. what an amazing feat
>>
>>153894078
>>153894130
and since i've checked, the only way demon slayer out-earned superman and gta is if you compare the entire film franchise of demon slayer, $1.3 billion, against the last superman movie and one year of gta's revenue
>>
>>153893008
>it's why he's always putting his friends in his movies
I think I actually asked him on social media if his mother made him promise on her deathbed that he'd always give roles to his retard brother

>another thing made more so other thing FAILED (ignore that it made money)
This is the most retarded of memes. I know it's just autists trying as hard they can to get a 'victory' despite getting BTFO in practice but it's genuinely pathetic
>>
>>153894499
>ignore that it made money
616M on a 363M budget isn't making money. And you didn't reply to me directly because...?
>>
>>153888804
Superman is one of the most normie superheroes out there.
>>
>>153886444
CW flash is the only flash i like besides the original
>>
Barry Allen sucks, Wally West is The Real The Flash.
