>has not made a single cartoon or comic book that's entered the general cultural zeitgeistWhat gives?
>>153894671
I feel bad for your Wernerfrei zeitgeist
Germs are incapable of art
>>153894671Most cartoons and comics have an element of humour in them
>>153894671Barbarians have no culture. They only destroy other's culture
Lotte Reiniger is fucking awesome. Oskar Fischinger is cool too if you want something more "out there".
>>153894671They did some but not overall much. Or it was just limited to Germany.
>>153894741Keep seething, subhuman burger
>>153894671Uh, Maya the Bee?
>>153894671German culture has essentially become illegal since 1933.
>>153894671Yeah, except for the first animated movie still in record
All of their animators went here
>>153895675Dumb take. Germany will always try to be more efficient. So they just bought the US and Franko-Belgian printing rights. And since ‘93 they buy Manga rights.
>>153895675It's rumored that the Snow White film was one of the Fuhrer's top favorites
>>153894720They used to create art, but not so much since the 1930s for some reason.

>>153894671They certainly produce/co-produce a lot of CGI slop. Most of the euro stuff I see is either them or scandies, and sometimes Spain.
>>153897306Kinda forgotten and unrelevant since 2010
>>153894671Germans are huge weeaboos and rather draw manga than comics
>>153894671German anon here, the answer is simple.Because there is not a single cartoon made by a fully German team, our animation industry is simply too underdeveloped. Everything is either aimed at prepubescent children.I can count the number of cartoons written, directed and animated by Germans on one Finger. SimsalaGrimm, a children's show on an exclusively German channel Kika (aimed at children from the ages of 4-10) that features German fairy tales.Everything else is outsourced to foreign companies and even that is a rarity. At the age of 12, every cartoon I watched came from another country, usually Canada or France.
>>153895412Mostly Japanese. Only the script was done by a German guy, animation and direction came from Japanese hands.
>>153899652Thank your people for creating one of the best Disney knockoff / furry fetish cartoon.
>>153899221Thats no comic, it got some but thats just an afterthought for a series that is only supported by hardcore fans.
>>153894671The germs dont need to animate anything since the entire world does it for them.
>>153894720Sadly true. Well, not so much incapable as discouraged from making it. That sort of thing is considered frivolous here. As a German, you're supposed to be a labourer or an engineer or a scientist or a businessman. Art, it's widely held around these parts, is for faggots.Sometimes, someone defies the odds. But not often.
>>153900037Has nothing to do with that. Other western countries are in a similar cultural predicament where they worship the post-WW2 conservative principle of ,,get a real job". Furthermore, art has always been in the hands of a small minority anyway. The actual reason is that we have a retarded goverment that subsidises the wrong shit. Look at the German movie Industry (the youtuber Behaind made a good overview). The people who are supposed to fund German movies rather put the money into foreign studios filming in Germany or low-brow Assi Komödie rather than actual passion projects. It's not much different with animation or other areas of art. I could also go on how the modern German culture has a fetish of self-flagellation of considering itself simultaneously both inherenty bad and a made-up concept, but that's /pol/ territory.
>>153899728What is this?
>>153900614Simsala Grimm, an episodic cartoon about these two creatures being sent to German fairy tale stories. Was very popular amongst children until a decade or so.
>>153900651What do German children watch nowadays?
>>153900824American stuff.
>>153894720they are good in Music
Pingu is Swiss and the creator was German-born. Excellent show.
>>153894671Their best fictional work was The Holocaust...
>>153901199That explains why Hasselhoff made a song about him.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lyEqhMC6EA
>>153900824https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_RTLYou can see it here, it's a long list. We got everything from the U.S., Canada and Europe. Super RTL was the juggernaut already during my childhood, nowadays they almost have a full monopoly because most other channels (Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and so on) couldn't make much of a profit as most children moved away from tv to Social Media, anime and gaming.
Bibi Blocksberg
>>153897295Better beer
>>153900824my children exclusively got to watch the little mole until they were 4 y/o. My daughter is now 5, she really likes a show about three crafty piglets (Werkel Ferkel) which is French as I just looked up. Other than that she watches Pumuckl, sometimes Astrid Lindgren movies and ofc every weekend Sendung mit der Maus, that's probably one of the most popular childrens tv series in Germany, it combines documentaries and cartoons.
>>153901826And, continue Bibi and Tina
>>153901826I completelly forgot that it was a cartoon originalld, the only cultural legacy I saw the last decades were the live action movies.
Benjamin the Elephant
>>153901826>Eene meene sternenstaub, alle im dieses lager werden zu staub HEX HEX.
considering how it's normilised and justified for gaijins to steal everything from Japan these days, that's probably how germany was treated since 1940s and why there's no well-known german cartoons or comicsit's a punishment. they simply used to overlook Japan because it was far from the mainstream. now they can't let Japan have it.
>>153902209Nobody cares about your drivel

>>153894671Comics and cartoons of any country's first audience is it's majority population. Germany really isn't allowed to entertain it's native white Germans since 1945. So they have a hard time entertainment Muhammed and Rajesh because fundamentally incompatible. So very impossible for Deutschland.
