Why can't their fans just admit that the show's creators ran out of ideas?
>>153902029That's cope. They cancelled it because I said it was a reddit show and they got pwn'd by this surge of logic.
Is anyone denying it? That's more or less what Zach stated.
I was sad they cancelled it then the shitty final episode aired and I thought ehhhh maybe it's a good thing they quit while they were ahead
okay? better than twenty seasons of uninspired slop
This isn’t about the fans not being able to concede to something. This show’s fans are Republican activists who, from pilot to cancellation, supported this show to get back at atheists and whatever other idpol group they fantasize about executing. It failed because the network caught on to it and saw it as especially out of lockstep because they’re already airing Rick and Morty, which is a show that Smiling Friends fans hate.
>>153902099Sure thing
>>153902029It's less that they "ran out of ideas" and more that they refused to collaborate with an actual writers' room to bounce ideas off of. Smiling Friends wasn't some highly intellectual work they needed to be super precious with, so backing out of just a couple more seasons due to some fear they somehow couldn't live up to random gags and nonsensical in-world logic the fans would no doubt still eat up seems like an asshole move. Taking a 1- or 2-year break wouldn't've been a problem imo

>>153902504>collaborate with an actual writers' room to bounce ideas off ofexactly what ruined rick and morty
>>153902029What fans?
>>153904046Rick and Morty had a writers room of like 8 people in the first two seasons
>>153904046No, what ruined Rick and Morty was Dan Harmon being a parasite.
Once again traditional animators are vindicated on being dismmisive of Newgrounds.
>>153902504That pic becomes so much funnier when you remember Natasha is that crackhead Mr. Landlord in a disguise.
>>153904110the ginger was a subhuman just a creative one>>153902029i liked the show and i assumed that's what happened not that shocking desu. the first episode was there strongest and everything else was good just not that level. anyways 3 seasons of a descent tv is better than 8 seasons of continously decreasing slop.why is this a convo again, feels like this thread has been made before
>>153902504I really don’t get their seemingly adamant refusal to have a writer’s room. If this was reliant on complex character development or had really complicated world building, to the point you don’t think anyone else is going to click with your vision, I’d understand. But this is an absurdist comedy with a fairly malleable premise that actively throws logic away for the sake of a joke.Even if they’re worried that some hack will try to force some out of place “messaging”, they should have the power to shoot it down or even edit it to make it fit the show.
Charlie doesn't deserve her...
>>153904046What ruined Rick and Morty was Roiland not keeping an even presence as co-exec producer and letting Harmon carry more influence and hiring his own writers. Zach & Michael seemed like they were on the same page and understood SF wasn't any deeper than it needed to be. Adult Swim seemed to really let them do whatever, so I'm sure they could've staffed up writers who'd respect their shared vision for the show. Michael knows how to collaborate with a larger team. Zach probably refused.
Zach and the other guy just weren't that funny to begin with
>>153906788If Koala Man is what you get when you collab with a team then no wonder Zach refused
>>153904157Once again, you continue to suck cocks.
>>153902029/co/ is a strange place, a place that blatantly makes stuff up to spark negative engagement. >why are fans "x" about "x"?>why can't "x" fanbase [made up generalization based off possibly one comment saw on social media, if not, based off absolutely nothing]?I don't see these claims on twitter, I don't see them on instagram, but on /co/, it's as if 90% of a shows discussion is centered around made up claims and ragebait. Maybe next thread you can make it about liking Smiling Friends, a nice thread where people discuss what they liked, post fan art they came across, etc. You don't need to make /co/ a place of non-stop bait threads, like /v/ or /tv/.
