Even leaving aside that he has anger problems and was drunk, I don't think it's all that odd a response anyway. You come home and the babysitter tells you "I don't know what happened, I fell asleep and now your daughter is missing!" It may not be rational to blow up at them and say "get the fuck out, I don't wanna look at you right now, you son of a bitch! Don't come back unless you're bringing my kid with you!" It's not rational, sure, but it's 100% understandable. I feel like most people would be blaming themselves, their spouse, the babysitter., second guessing everything that everybody did.
