Tai lung was literally 45 when he got trolled by oogway.
For all of his childhood and adult life he was literally used as a weapon to keep the peace of the valley, fighting life and death missions against the endless amount of bandits that lived just outside the town.
Think about how many people he had to kill to persevere that peace. So all those residents could continue to live in peaceful valley while oogway takes all the credit. A living weapon

Anon, are you seriously angry over this fanfic you made up in your head? Tai Lung is just a student Shifu grew attached to and hyped up a the dragon warrior, but (KFP 3 retcons aside) was evil at heart and as such not worthy of being called the dragon warrior and threw a deadly fit over it, proving his evilness.
I know he's a cool character whose backstory is sympathetic when taken out of context but holy hell you make Kung Fu Panda sound like an edgy chinese comic.
