Post and Discuss famous fictional structures that you've always found fascinating.

Could you imagine living next door to the fucking Ghostbusters?

... You think they give their neighbors discounts for residual spectral phenomena.

The rents must be amazing in the area because the property values (in a "demilitarized zone" as Egon put it) are probably hilariously low as a result of explosions and curses.

On the subject of curses, spectral phenomena and neighbors, holy shit would living even a block from the Sanctum Santorum would be a fucking nightmare... Probably literally when the actual Lord of Nightmares shows up!

Not to attack the place, he just liked the Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich they make in the little bodega across the street.

There's an ongoing series on Youtube describing a retro-futuristic multiverse. One of its main recurring locations is the Patchwork City and it's something I actually find myself wishing existed.

I was always convinced it was going to turn out the house itself was a giant imaginary friend, given it's seemingly infinite interior structure and fantastical exterior... But maybe Madam Foster was just like Madam Winchester, building a shit crazy house because she was a fruit loop.
>>
Imagine living in Gotham. I always had a thing for Art Deco stuff and it really scratches my itch.
>>
>>153928633
I like art deco interiors more than art deco exteriors for some reason. Victorian exterior, art deco interior would be my dream house. Is that unusual?
>>
>>153928660
For me it would be Art deco everything and maybe a combination of Art deco and 70s stuff for the furniture.

So... At some point during the bronze age Earth was the target of an alien colonization effort. Technology STILL well in advance of anything humanity develops lay scattered across the planet (most likely inert to anything not bearing a gem) but still... You'd think there'd be somebody screaming about the giant alien women from space and being laughed out of academic circles.

Keep in mind, at least based on the mural, humans were part of the rebellion against homeworld.
You could consider them partially uplifted by rebel gems, then all of a sudden 99.9% of these hyper advanced godlike beings leading them against other evil godlike beings disappeared/transformed into monsters that then probably laid waste to everything around them.

Iirc there's also a background thing fans noticed that it seems gem activity caused a certain geological event that formed a lot of siberia to not occur.
There could be other similar differences.
In the real world a certain volcanic eruption that turned one island into two caused worldwide weather changes for decades. In some places there was a year without a summer. Other places had 40 years of drought and 40 years of floods. It was apocalyptic and probably ended Incan society.

Steven Universe is the fucking definition of wasted potential. A major network had the balls to broadcast a show about invincible alien invaders with personalized weaponry, absolute control over their physical forms (and the ability to take control of others’ through mutual cooperation), and a history of genocidal subjugation… but the entire premise was wasted on crying lesbians and gay pedo shit.

I am still mad.

Humans in Steven Universe might be even more retarded than humans in Invader Zim. Sure, in everyday behavior they're not as much blithering idiots, but they have some of the most loud and obvious extraterrestrial presence of any fictional setting, and they just fucking ignore it. I've always been fond of the idea of floating islands with a wizards tower on it or something, but for the life of me I can't think of any examples of that. I'm almost certain there are examples of that in /co/ media, but I'm drawing a blank.
I do remember there was an old show on Nickelodeon about an airship crew exploring a world made up of a shit ton of floating islands after the Earth blew up or something.
