Scripting for the first full arc (3 graphic novels) complete. Starting storyboarding now. May want to partner with another artist to do inking and backgrounds while I do storyboarding and penciling. I think of a tank, and how impractical it looks until you see it in action. In my opinion a mech doesn't necessarily have to be flexible and have lots of articulation. >>153977067I have a similar concept, but it's more along the lines of walking cities and yes, it does require extreme amounts of engineering. Essentially, scouts going ahead conduct assessments of the rock and soil before the city takes a step, they identify areas of weakness, then drill down and fill with a hardening solution. Then, when the foot touches down, it inflates pads around the foot to increase surface area and keep the city from sinking. Then from between the pads, drilling rods anchor into the rock to provide stability as the city shifts its weight. These are a few general ideas from my comic, but they're years away from seeing illustration because they're coming later in the story. Hope this inspires you, mech guy!

But then you have to worry about... I don't know what to call this. Narrative logistics? Like, the characters can't use mechs for everything, so it feels like the audience will get pissy if you have the heroes leave their mechs to go fight inside a building or something.
