Why did people not like the Fantastic Four? It felt like a real blockbuster with a family feel.

Why the fuck was Invincible Woman the leader of the team? That's fucking retarded

Superhero fatigue
Disney fatigue
Diversity fatigue
Henry Pasquale fatigue
>>
Pedro looks ape enough for someone that wants to be directing apes. Why not just stay there?

>Henry Pasquale
Whatever, I'm over Pedro.

Can't she kill all the rest of them instantly with a bubble?

>The F4 are popular among Marvel fans but not among the general public
>Outside of MCU fans who've stuck around and parents wanting to shut their kids up for two hours, nobody's overly invested in the MCU
>too many shitty capeshit flicks and shows being released
>Disney keeps releasing their own movies too close to each other
>the economy sucks
>the F4 are science adventure heroes, not superheroes so any movie adaptation made in the typical capeshit flick template will struggle and lose what makes the characters appealing
>>
As far as first steps goes, the movie was too positive. They'd already created a utopia where everyone loved them, all it took was a single speech for the entire planet to stop second guessing them and fall in line, and the supposed world destroying threat could be defeated by a really hard shove. It's just lacking in tension.

Which one is the ape in the image?

I-I liked First Steps...

F4: First Steps was the best Marvel movie in years. It even had two heterosexual couplings.

They deliberately miscast Reed and with a guy that people are getting tired of, that didn't help. They released the movie after a long string of diversity movies that greatly withered interest in the MCU in general, that didn't help either. I also just don't think the F4 is really a big deal franchise.

Fantastic Four would legitimately be more interesting if it were a family of chimps that got powers.
>>

>Everyone: Sacrifice the damn child, Reed, who cares what Susan thinks? you can always have another one.

>Reed is the only one who behaves civilly and uses sign language.
>Everyone else continues to behave like chimps.

Yeah pretty much
I watched the movie but besides a few positives the movie was just boring
>>
It wasn't zany enough. It wasn't far out sci-fi enough. It wasn't "kirby" enough. It wasn't family enough. It wasn't heart enough. Other than Sue, none of the team got enough big character moments.

I dunno, it was fine. I guess I liked it better than the two older FOX FF films. But not by much. I was hoping to love it, but I didn't. Ironically, it could have used a bit more of the tone of the Superman film that came out around the same time.

He's also gotten increasingly lazy about pretending he isn't gay.

ANOTHER ONE?!

We're going until Apes rule the world for real
