I feel like this boycott/media campaign would make more sense if they were at least demanding DC to hire black writers and artists, but that's not the case. They are just asking for their favourite Glup Shittos, like Black Lightning or Vixen, that don't sell to get a book. It's just IP-mentality. And if DC caves in to their demands it's just a matter of time before those books get cancelled anyway because those characters are just not very popular. Meanwhile if you were pushing for DC to hire more black writers and artists, that could have more of an impact since they could get established in the industry and most readers (that aren't comicgaters) probably don't care about the ethnicity of the person writing the comics. I suspect the reason why they don't do this is because many black writers would probably just rather write Batman rather than [insert black character here], much like how Campbell is currently doing Zatanna or how Christopher Priest got so tired of being offered black characters he jumped at the opportunity of doing Deathstroke.
