Recently saw a few episodes of Apple and Onion. A bit too child-like for me but I don't get why this got so much hate when it was coming out.
>>
>opening feels extremely childish
>the A&O breaking into random singing and dancing is just weird as fuck and not funny or interesting
But the most important one for me is the fact that it just feels like a poor man's Regular Show if the human, animal and object people were all consistently random foods.

At first glance, it just looks both ugly and childish.
A show can have the best writing ever, but it also has to look good, these are cartoons man, the visual appeal is very important, shows have DIED for basically just looking kinda weird.

I don't know how you can say that when basically every successful classic cartoon past the Looney Tunes era has been considered an ugly mockery compared to what came before
>Simpsons
>Ed Edd n Eddy
>Rick and Morty
>Beavis and Butt-Head
>Ren and Stimpy
>Rugrats
>South Park
>Bob's Burgers
>Flapjack
>etc
It's kind of the cartoon DNA for the visuals to also be a self-mocking joke

It’s alright. It was surprisingly decent. You’ll find youtube comments calling it underrated.
