I'm an edgelord like the most of us here, but swears in this comic feel completely out of place. The story's just too whimsical for that.

I think the whole comic is a bit of a mess. With so many characters from three separate works and only a few dozen pages, it reads like a bunch of random events with magic being used only as a plot convenience. There's also pretty much nothing done with the idea of the characters now being older (other than "lol peter doesn't know what horny is"), might've just kept them their canon ages.
Also the art's okay but as other anons mentioned, the paneling has no flow to it, like a bunch of panels were cut from a better designed comic and pasted into a notebook.
>>
I liked it. I went to read it once before but I got put off by the art here >>153960446 making it look like it was going to be some modern retelling, but thankfully it isn't. But yes the panel ordering is weird
Also I want to fuck Wendy

How come Wendy is allowed to dress like that in Edwardian England?

this comic isn't great by any means but I'd take it over Lost Girls any time. That one is just edgy for the sake of being edgy

>the paneling has no flow to it, like a bunch of panels were cut from a better designed comic and pasted into a notebook.
I guarantee you this shit was a webtoon before it was put into a book format. Every webtoon that was done like that looks like complete garbage, well more like garbage

You absolutely can have a long vertical comic strip that flows well, this never did.
Also, you can adapt a webtoon to print without it feeling wonky with some re-framing and dialog rearrangement, but here it seems like they just chopped up long strips into columns and called it a day.

millennials are awful writers. they watched a Pulp Fiction when they were like 14 and it seared into their brain as the "pinnacle of mature storytelling".

I can respect the author for going "Fuck you, I'm gonna do it properly" - that needs to happen more often.

>I can respect the author for going "Fuck you, I'm gonna do it properly"
He kinda did it twice. He'd released the first part of the story with his own art, but he knew it was godawful so he brought on this lady.
>>
I think Dorothy is supposed to have a suntan since she's a Kansas dirt-farmer durring the Depression instead of the daughter of Edwardian socialites like Alice and Wendy.
>>
>>153964503
Both of those are purely theoretical because I've never seen it done especially the latter BECAUSE of the way webtoon/longstrip works, best you'll get is a really boring flow because the artistry inherent in paneling is lost

It's a thoroughly decent story, that's the best way I can describe it.
The story does mostly what you want, and even has a few twists that you wouldn't expect like the adults being Gulliver and Mary Poppins.
The girls have decent characters, though The Wicked Witch and Hook feel a bit flat.
The art is serviceable, communicates the story without any issues, though at no point am I ever impressed by anything visually.
Everything synthesizes to being a bit more than the sum of it's parts.
I bought a physical copy and adore it completely, and recommend it any chance that seems appropriate, and dearly wish they'd make a part 2.
I want to see more of the girls hanging out, maybe they can visit Ozma next and enlist her help against the Red Queen.

Didn't hate it near as much as I expected, outside of the odd formatting (as others have mentioned), even liked a couple parts like every scene that had Hook even if the 'romance' was utterly contrived. He's just a fun character in most works. I'd read a continuation if it ever happened, at least.
