Does anybody here actually remember this show?
>>153961318No, but it looks neat.
I read that as slam pig for a second
>>153961318I never understood why people were so opposed to CN doing preschool when preschool programing was some of its earliest original programming. Cartoonito should have probably been a Big Bag revival.>>153962906Most of it is on Youtube:https://youtu.be/SYxzxaz14HY
>>153961318Oh it's big bag from that deleted blameitonjorge top 15 list video
>>153964810Because it sucks
>>153964810Maybe it’s just me, but CN fans sometimes come across as very protective of the channel’s image since they were always the edgy kids channel (at least in my household, I wasn’t allowed to watch it until the CG Clone Wars aired). With the state of the channel now, however, I get it. CN’s current programming feels really toothless compared to even Disney Channel.

>>153964810Fun fact: the studio behind this segment also worked on Wonder Showzen.
>>153965012>CN is an edgy teen that is embarrassed by its early years. But really, I never got where the "edgy image" for CN came from. Outside of AS and maybe Billy and Mandy, it's early toons were no edgier than what was on Nick at the time.

>>153966469Boomerang was doing the year theme as far back as 1993, didn't know that.
>>153966650Yeah, I can't think of any CN show outside of B&M that was edgier than stuff like Ren and Stimpy, Catdog, or Rocko which were all airing at the around the same time. Cow and Chicken and PPG were about equal to Nick's output in terms of content.B&M was mostly an outlier that continued to push the envelope as it went on.
>>153966469I actually grew up with early CN. This unlocked a memory.https://youtube.com/watch?v=l4mYMTtdJhU
>>153964810>>153965012I think it's because CN very quickly moved on from preschool programming and just focused on all ages/family shows, combined with Nick and Disney eating up all the preschool real estate.
>>153967159B&M came out later.
>>153961318I remember williams wish wellingtons. back when uk cartoons had soul
>>153969518>when uk cartoons had soulThey don’t anymore?
>>153969554>does cheap cgi slop or flash cartoons have soulno. no they don't
>>153969587They had Hilda and Aardman, at least.
>>153969650ok that's actually fair. I forgot about them. but they're by far the exception nowadays.
>>153969692Oh I know they’re probably exceptions. I’m just not sure if us Yanks have it much better.
Obscure preschool/educational shows thread?https://youtube.com/watch?v=5itPAOys37U&ra
>>153961318I sure dont lol
>>153966469>it's early toons were no edgier than what was on Nick at theIt wasn't just there originals, it was the whole channel in general had a little more edge compared to Nick, you wont getting an action block dedicated to some violent Eastern animation like Dragon Ball airing on Nickelodeon, you won't get shows like Toon Heads that tells you trivia about war time cartoons on Disney channel, you wouldn't have parody talk shows with a vintage 60s superhero playing ragebait with the celebrities on PBS, and what do you mean Powerpuff girls were pretty violent compared to your average Nickelodeon show like Rugrats
