I never understood why people liked MF DOOM that much, it's all pretty mediocre. I get other artists like Tyler who are so experimental and weird that some of his tracks that he pumps out are half-decent despite his queerness, but AF DOOM? Not so much.I think the fact he died due to a country with worse healthcare than Latveria is the only reason people like him.

I’ve listened to something in the vicinity of 75 hip-hop albums, and I was raised by a self-loathing Irish Nazi anti-Semite motherfucker who was super into Public Enemy and all the other staples of underground cop-hop, and I can tell you without reservation that it’s pretty much all complete dogshit. There are some nerdcore hip-hoppers (especially Skullkruncher and YTCracker) who are great, but that’s not why people listen to rap.
