Decided to give, another work by Kirkman a try after the bad taste that was left by invincible and its many fuck ups. I was severely disappointed at every page turn. The plot was generic and uninteresting, its filled with the same half assed feminist bullshit that invincible had just some how more gross (im fine with woke shit to be honest as long as its written well, hell i liked ultimates x-men) i dont know why this hack thinks anyone cares for his political opinions. every time it diverted from the 3 brothers its already low quality diminished and every subplot felt so unrelated that it felt like it didnt belong in the same series.if you've read it what are your thoughts maybe im just being a chud, if you haven't save yourself the time and go read batman:dark patternsalso: apparently this was supposed to be his most gory comic ever but it honestly wasnt that much worse than invincible and pales incomparison to a true edge slop like crossed

Haven't read a whole lot of Kirkman myself, but Battle Pope is pretty cool. It's very 'what you see is what you get' but it's the only other thing I've read by the guy aside from Invincible. Totally worthwhile if you're in the mood to go back in time to the early 2000s for an afternoon.

Since there is no invincible thread I will posit my question here>Why does Cecil not give any leeway towards Omni-man?Out of all the people on Earth he is the only human that is probably able to understand Nolan. Cecil would willingly nuke millions of people if it meant Earth would be safe (as seen by Angstrom in the dimension where Cecil and Donald are women, they nuked the entirety of the European continent to kill Omni-man). To Omni-man killing those 2000 people in Chicago was to convince Mark to help him, so that the rest of Earth could be spared because like we find out Viltrumites don't want to wantonly kill everyone and everything, they do want Earth in their empire, they specifically want to breed with humans to save their race. Cecil should understand this. We even see Cecil use reformed criminals to save lives, which he considers a good thing, but doesn't consider that with Nolan at all (maybe because he's simply too hard to control?). Cecil, with his knowledge throughout the series, should have realized even if Nolan didn't pop off Earth was doomed to a Viltrumite invasion the second Earth was in their sights, before Nolan had even arrived. Nolan or not, Viltrum is coming. And now Nolan is going off to genocide his own people to save Earth and it's like Cecil doesn't even give two fucks. Dude singlehandedly through his own actions and thoughts overwrote thousands of years of Viltrum dogma and strife and decided to save Earth and every other planet in the universe from his own people, yet Cecil can't let go of 2000 people he would happily and easily sacrifice himself if push came to shove? It makes no sense.
