>>153976033I felt everyone started trying to out perform each other around S3, because of things like WiseCrack I had hoped it was some sort of metagag where they'd realize how deranged they'd become from being around the Archers, but no it sort of just kept going. Sort of defeated the comedic premise of mundane but sometimes odd individuals at once overwhelmed yet unphased by the antics of Archer and Mallory.

Like...ditzy and maybe gets attached a little too easily and quickly to romantic interests and becomes a touch possessive. I also wouldn't have minded seeing a version of Archer where they were actually competent spies. The joke kind of got played out that they always fucking failed (and when Archer ended up temporarily succeeding, it was typically by deus ex machina or accident), but the few moments we could actually see them be badasses was fun.
