Thought I had re: the common complaint that if Jax was gonna go Hollow no matter what it should have been in episode 7 when he was already about to: Jax going to the Undead Asylum feels like a natural parallel to the part in IHNMaIMS when the gang gets to the canned food and realizes AM didn't give them a can opener. That's the part where it hits them that AM is only ever going to fuck with them and he will never stop fucking with them and will never allow them to die, and the only way out is killing each other before he can react. Jax, who seemed to be the most resistant to the fuckery here, finally becoming a Hollow is when everyone realizes they need to get out of here now and they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
