>pick up any new superhero comic
>MC is a snarky Redditor wholesome chungus who can't do anything without the help of his wholesome diverse group of friends
>antagonist is a joke out of a cartoon with little gravitas or actual threat, best case scenario being generic evil person
>tacky thing about how WE ALL ARE [SUPERHERO NAME]
Seriously, why is this the market now? Why is everything about nobody being exceptional? Why has sheer and genuine coolness been scrubbed off in its entirety? I cannot believe that this is what young kids to teens like to read. They've seen it fail again and again, so why do they keep doing it?

I buy Iron Man, I want to see a guy who's a supergenius billionaire and acts like one. He doesn't have to be evil, but Tony's always had some edge to him. Some coldness underneath. Now it's all been scrubbed. I buy an IM book and there's no tech jargon, nothing about markets, no boardroom politics, it's all just blase superhero stuff you'd find in any other book. So what's the point? Why is he simping for some Latina teacher when he should be out there fucking dangerous spies and pumping and dumping exotic supermodels and trophy wives before destabilizing an island of mad scientists or something?

name 5 comics exactly like that

>this Iron Man
>same writer's Superman
>Fraction Batman
>current Doctor Strange
>current Spider-Man
Literally anything that's currently running follows the same formula.

Ever since the first Iron Man movie he's been modeled after RDJ in the comics. That's just how it is. Read Superior Iron Man if you want a different kind of Tony.

>current Spider-Man
Wrong. Spider-Man has no friends and hasn't had any for decades

I thought this was from the 90s.

It’s communist propaganda

In Spanish, that would be written as Lucía, but the character is Lucia. Most common usage as a surname is Italian.
I feel like there is going to be some kind of stupid reveal regarding her like being an errant copy or maternal cousin of Madame Masque.

His RDJ-ification has been going on for a long time, but each run keeps making him more and more boring. Just that, boring. He's got nothing different in his personality that any other goody-good-guy doesn't have. They're interchangeable. Even in the MCU there is a hint of the arrogance and the control freak. Current Tony is just a cringy redditor with money.

I guess the art and character selection is 90s-esque.

From New York Upper Middle Class Trust Fund Babies, that is.

I think you put more thought into it than they did.
