Will Bart skateboard naked again in the sequel? Can we even do scenes like that anymore these days? I'm still surprised how much merchandise we got for it.
I like men now.
Seeing a cartoon naked just isn't considered an issue to normal people. Even if the cartoon "is a child" because normal people cane parse the difference between reality and fiction. It takes the filter of socmed algorithm and internet participation period to make the people who think cartoons are real have a loud enough sounding voice to weird power.
>>153994831never really got why they fixated on this so much, wasn't especially funny
>>153997797I don't remember anyone laughing at any part of the scene in the theater, except this line >>153995531
>>153999744It wasn't a joke. They wanted to show bart naked since episode 2. Bart nudity was a big huge thing shoved into as much of the early simpsons as they could get away with.We would have seen ding dong in 1988 if they were allowed to.
>>154000145It's funny doh
>>153994831>Will Bart skateboard naked again in the sequel?no, but Lisa will
>>153999744So during the actual reveal there was just silence?
>>154000741Yup everyone was cracking up, and then as soon as he dropped pickle it was a dead eerie silence for the rest of the movie. I think one woman started sobbing quietly, but that was it.
>>154000741Basically yes, I mean it wasn't that anyone was shocked, it just didn't really land as a joke. I think people were confused about how to react. Ralph's line fucking killed it though.I'm British if it matters, maybe our humour is just different.
