Its also desperate to prove itself by being the best at nothing anyone wanted. It felt like watching a little girl play superhero and taking out her frustration on not being able to play with the boys on male strawmen. Supergirl is pushed as a kind of a mid skank and is embarrassed of its source material and of the lead character being female.
