Why did so many 2010s shows end up fumbling by the end?
>>154002790It was a different time.
>>154002790Women
>>154002790The 2010s was the decade of disappointment.
Rick and Morty never fumbled though
>>154002790None. All of these were perfect the whole way through. They rival anything that cinema has to offer. If you think they fumbled you’re not a fan of animation.
>>154003242Nice b8
>>154002790Rick and Morty has been really good lately though
>Adventure TimeThe show lost focus after the whole Lich thing, they then fucked up the show's formula of a boy and a dog's random fantastical adventures and threw it away for fanfic-tier nihilistic shit and plot threads that go nowhere, the last season was also half-assed and the ending sucked>Steven UniverseWriters got too high on their own farts and though they could stretch their show forever by making 100s of episodes dedicated to shitty plot threads, background characters and random shit until Rebecca fucked her own show over by being autistic about including a lesbian wedding until the show got canned, they then proceeded to cram a bajillion plots into the final season which had a retarded ending, they then made a sequel series which somehow had a worse ending>Star vs.They killed off the main villain midway through, the show kept getting shittier from there with unnecessary drama until the finale which ruined the entire premise of the show>Rick and MortyThey got too high on their own farts after the show became really successful, the show then turned into self-fellating retardation
>>154002790They all embraced redit and tumblr, which worship stewing in mediocrity by nature
>>154002790>fumblingSU was killed for being gay
>>154003758It was unpopular and Sugar was having a mini breakdown under the pressure of being a show runner She went out in a blaze of glory...or so sge thinks. The little cunt is the cute mousy co-writer who thinks up cute hyper fem touches to add to male aimed media...and is used as the fieshlight of her boss. Not a show runner.
>>154002790Making a satisfying ending in general is difficult because it requires you tie loose plot threads and questions in an emotionally and logically sensible way, even if the thing you’re writing is slice of life. Now imagine the difficulty of having a show with multiple plot threads, a massive amount of characters, and a grand storyline end in a way that leaves the viewer satisfied.
>>154003834Jealous?
Does this decade have a show as big as those?
>>154003932Stop coping
>>154002790Stephan Universe was never good.
>>154003945those shows were basically responsible for reigniting creator driven shows and the novelty has more or less worn off. I don't think cartoon network will have a show as well known as adventure time for quite a while.
>>154004000No
Adventure Time's ending still pleb-filtering I see
>>154004000Wrong
>>154004038Stfu, retard
>>154004038It was shit, you could argue about the Distant Lands ending but the original series' ending was fucking terrible
>>154003932Of?
>>154002951>The 2010s was the decade of disappointment. You said it, the worst part is how the most cancerous elements of the 2010s bleeded into the current decade essentially making the 2020s into the 2010s 2: electric boogaloo
>>154003706Star vs. was even worse than that. Disney gave them a gazillion seasons because "first Disney cartoon made by a woman", then fired the lead writers and directors (men) by season 2. The remaining crew, women that got the job for being women and not for being skillful, had 2 more seasons to fill with episodes and no idea what to put in it. So we got a shit show. Which is crazy because season 2 was already plummeting into a shithole already. I'd say only the first half of season 1 of Star vs. is any good.
>>154002790>The Trantastic Four
Millennials can't write endings
>>154004558Fag
>>154005633Yes you are.
>>154002790Anti-merit artists who think they're entitled to fame, respect and great pay even when their shows don't sell and drive off boys to other mediums.
>all of them went to trash when they tried to add more loreSurely a coincidence
>>154002951I blame Trump
Shippingfaggotry
>>154006430Rent free
>>154002790Capitalism demands franchises, endless sequels and reboots. There is no end. There is only shareholder value.
>>154008469Literally all of those 4 are original shows, you dingus.
