Yesterday the forces of Earth told the Kree to fornicate themselves and to get off our planet, and Peter Parker was named to heir to the Green Goblin name>previous threadshttps://pastebin.com/s6Lg25jf
How old do you reckon Normie is now?
>>154002931Is his hair supposed to move like that? Like it is in the middle panel?
I wish Norman was my dad
>>154003340>>154003386It's definitely weird to see the Osborn hair suddenly behaving like hair.
Oooooh
>>154003477He's like a reverse Reverse Flash!
>>154003563I feel like there's a good What If story where Norman is Peter's Uncle Ben in some way.
>>154003601Somewhere, Betty sneezed and remembered the Cult of Love thing.
>>154003623Trouble II: Normantic Bugaloo
>>154003727>you've always been such a good boy...>better than that horrible spider-man
>Peter Parker of Earth, for showing greater willpower than any other on this planet we welcome you to the Green Lanterns>Green? No thanks, not my color
>>154003669These thumbnails keep making me think it's Bagley. He'd be starting on Ultimate Spider-Man around this time, wouldn't he?
>>154003778Yeah he's well into USM by now. I think he's still on Thunderbolts at this point as well
>>154003778Yeah, Ultimate started about two months before this issue.
>>154003778Not sure why I was thinking Ultimate was a mid-00s creationWhen that really doesn't make sense
Speaking of Ultimate, everyone checking out this beard on Parker?
THE ENDAlways a good time watching these two beat the absolute piss out of each otherTomorrow we're bound for the sunny plains of Canada!
>>154003929Thanks for storytiming, Magister!
>>154003929>terrorizes peter and his friends for days>kidnaps peter and spends several days physically and mentally torturing him>almost breaks him>gets a few love taps from peter, forcing him to give up and run>gets away feeling like he made a point so he can screw with peter again another dayOn the one hand I like how Norman can do this shit so consistently. On the other hand I'm the kind of person that likes seeing the villain beaten and suffering some kind of comeuppance other than realizing his plan didn't work.
>>154003305But Betty, your mom has been dead for years...
>>154004359Crazy Betty is losing it again
I guess Norman missed the point of Psalm 88.
>>154003270And then we never saw Paul again.
>>154004763I guess he didn't get medical attention
>>154004369When I was younger and reading Essential Spider-Man from the local library, I didn't think much of Betty at all. Now reading later stories where she has adultery tendencies, goes crazy, and gets guns with her "current" status overall on the ball with work but bits of her past issues poke through the cracks, I think I like her. Maybe it is a caricatured version of her in my head though.
>>154003340>>154003451JRJR draws it pretty close to Randy's hair which is weird. Basically confirms that they are waves.
>>154002899Fun fact, Peter Jenkins ghost wrote this issue for Mackie after the two has a very nasty fight where Jenkins basically told Mackie to his face that his script for #25 and his ASM work in general was utter dog shit and Mackie pretty much telling Jenkins to write the entire crossover himself if he thought Mackie was a hack
>>154005769Really? I wonder if Norman's My Boy vs M'Boy vs Boy are consistent between specific writers.
>>154005769What was the verdict?
>>154003064Ben mentioned
>>154004763Arthur and Jill are about to vanish too anyway
>>154005769IIRC the issue's plot was already there, but Jenkins ghost-scripted at least some of the issue, and it was less a "nasty fight" and more of a tough love thing where he could see Mackie was burned out on writing the same character for so long and didn't really care anymore. In trying to convince Mackie it was time to leave the book, he probably didn't know that thanks to the new editorial regime, most of the old guard were basically finished at Marvel the moment they left the books they were currently working on.
>>154004763>>154008011I do remember them just up and vanishing after this. Guess no one really cared for Gwen's extended family because it's not Gwen.
>>154002899When Romita Junior was good
>>154003335What a prankster.
>>154003335Kek
>>154003727>join meAnd then what? The Goblin only had ONE evil plan that didn't revolve around Peter in the last 30 years. What does he even want beyond revenge?
