I really dislike Korra but I’ll be fair and say they had 2 seasons of showing Korra and Asami have basic chemistry, bumblebee was just a bad fanship they made canon, they undid all of the build up of Blake and Sun and this was after Blake already turned down a lesbian that she had a history with. They also had them get together by a literal rushed plot device it was so bad they had to confess they liked each other or else they’d fall to their death it was bad. They came off as oh yeah we gay now. It was so bad in fact that it created the Homophobic Ruby meme, which is honestly the best thing that came out of that ship.

>>154008578Korrasami is just a mediocre ship, it didn't really effect the show much as was just something tacked onto the end. Bumblebee was a legitimately bad ship that made both characters worse, bringing down the show in the process.

RWBY deleted any point to Blake being in the cast, then pushed Yang with a girl that's just like her mother with no build-up besides fan headcanons. The companion book even has Arryn referring to Blake as Ilia's "straight friend" early on. Then all Blake got to be was "Yang's girlfriend" while Yang became a girl who shrugs at her sister turning suicidal.Korra's ship was just a bad aftertaste to a finale. RWBY's ship was so bad it killed the entire show.
>>154008578Depends how you mean. In terms of becoming a ship then Korrasami. It literally came out of nowhere at the last second with zero buildup and Asami had every reason to hate Korra. It really felt more like ticking a checkbox in comparison.As for being a ship and affecting the characters? Bumblebee is worse. You could say this has the advantage of actually having the time to be a ship for a length of time compared to Korra (excluding the comics), but Bumblebee dragged down both characters terribly and made them way worse.
