Legit, this movie feels like any Mario fan's wet dream if it were released 20 years ago. I guarantee it would have blown minds and redefined the franchise. But today it's barely a blip on the radar because everyone is desensitized to this level of fanservice and spectacle.The kicker is that it's not even a bad movie, otherwise. It's tight, bright, and well-paced for what it is. But again, I feel like we currently have an audience that doesn't really appreciate gratuitous action and visuals, for some reason.
