I love PG, but it never made sense to me that they didn't kill her off during the Crisis. Especially since they went hard into the 'SUPERMAN IS THE ONLY KRYPTONIAN ALLOWED' autism immediately after. So keeping her around made no sense.

Kill off the original Earth-Two version during Crisis, then introduce a new similar-looking character with the Atlantean origin. That way there's a clean separation between the old and the new.
