>the first song in the end credits (Stay Home) was created to be used in the opening scene
>they later decided to use the popular All-Star in the opening scene and put Stay Home in the end credits instead
Was it the right choice?

All Star works better because it's more fun and high energy, but honestly the lyrics don't really reflect what type of character Shrek is. Like All Star is a song about accepting that life is crazy and stupid, it's an interesting choice. Maybe on a meta level it works as a statement of saying "it's a fun movie", and that's probably why everyone loves it I assume.

>Antz's opening scene has epic music by Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell

>Shrek's opening scene has a licensed song by Smash Mouth, and it was originally meant to have an original song by the band Self
DW started to change between both movies

Why didn't she direct more Shrek stuff after the first movie? And why did DreamWorks never allow another piece of Shrek media to have a woman director again?
