Yep this is news for some reasonhttps://www.animationmagazine.net/2026/06/uncle-grandpa-creator-says-toy-story-5-pizza-took-a-slice-from-his-show/
>>154019791Do you genuinely believe anyone at Pixar knows what an Uncle Grandpa is
>>154019814I do
>>154019814They know what a Steven Universe is, so probably.
>>154019814No, I imagine them as soulless automatons churning out sequelslop.
>>154019791What the fuck is "bad bunny", some kind of AI?
>>154019847He's the guy who sang taco rap at the burger sport bowl.
>>154019791I can't believe Pixar would stoop low enough to plagairize a concept as original as... "Slice of Pizza With Sunglasses."
>>154019791It's not Pizza Steve without the flaccid penis and testicles
I’m like 99% sure he was making a cheeky joke and isn’t actually mad, but for some reason now the world is absolutely filled to the brim with chronically online autistic people who cannot understand sarcasm or have a single nuanced thought about something someone tweets in 10 seconds during their otherwise busy life.
>>154019791doesdoes he think he owns the copyright to the fucking 1990s
This thread is weird. A talking pizza wearing sunglasses, with the joke being “that’s the extent of the character”, is not at all an unavoidably universal idea on the same level as “monsters in my closet” or “what if toys came to life”. Pizza Steve was the first thing I thought of when I saw this bad bunny announcement. There’s no way not a single person at Pixar was aware of the similarities.
