TADC glorifies suicide in the sense that Jax is artificially forced to be completely at fault for everything that happened. Ribbit and Kaufmo are not shown to be their own complex people outside of Jax and the only reason it seems like they abstracted is purely because of Jax rejecting them. The Jax we saw in those flashback just doesn’t match the Jax we saw in episode 8Jax self-flagellating over his failures really should have been countered with Pomni somehow showing him the good parts, the reasons she cares, helping him accept other’s care instead of just feeling guilty and fearful at the thought of receiving it. He helped her relax in episode 6, helped with the adventure in 7, bought them time in 8. I’m sure he had a positive impact on Ribbit and Kaufmo too for his pulling away to have had such an impact, and as much as he made their mental states worse by retreating, they no doubt both had shit going on that had nothing to do with him.Instead it just ends with him locked in this childish, solipsistic viewpoint of “my mother’s berating me because I’m bad, I can’t meet her standards because I’m bad,” and not “my mother’s berating me because she’s a complicated person with views and morals that might be skewed, I can’t meet her standards because they’re impossible, just like my depressed friends are complicated people who have lives outside of their interactions with me, etc”His life ends with a fucking humiliation ritual reinforcing that everything bad in the world is his fault, followed by everything immediately improving. It’s like Goose wants people to kill themselves. Ribbit and Kaufmo were basically nothing characters that only served to make Jaxs guilt worse.

Imo people are really overexaggerating the whole "everyone is happier with Jax dead" thing. Everyone except Kinger visibly mourns him, Pomni is willing to put her body's stability on the line to comfort him, they do what they think is best for him by building him a shelter he can rest in, Pomni cries for him/Leeroy, he gets put on a gigantic mural. I guess they could've fit yet ANOTHER picture of Pomni and the gang visiting the abstracted in the credits, but saying that the people in your life will continue to live and might even be happy sometimes after you're gone isn't the same thing as telling you you should kill yourself.

Honestly I'm a bit morbid, so I personally will find it hilarious to see how much self harm/suicide is spurred on due to the movie because Gooseworx wanted to kill their old self for everybody to see on a global scale, causing this horrible chain of reactions.
