>barely keep up with comics
>only recently learned that they retconned kamala khan, probably the only popular inhuman, into a mutant out of sheer spite
i know they only got such a big push a decade ago because of playground tier pettiness over the X-men/muties, but did they really get "i dont want to play with you anymore"d once all that shit was over? to the point that they arent even relevant in the current continuity?

They showed up in Imperial, Marvel’s attempt to reignite interest in cosmic titles.
Their presence made sure we won’t be getting any more books set in space for a long time
>>
>>154028327
Yeah pretty much

The main problem was the mcu synergy failure and the push to make them like mutants
When the whole Inhumans vs xmen and the terragin cloud thing happened, they tried to map the whole prejudice allegory onto the inhumans but that ultimately took away from the inhumans than adding
Then there was the tv show that flopped, which stopped the inhumane push so when Disney got the mutants they just went full force with then. But since they couldn't just drop the more we'll knowns they just to a recent teen hero and said she was a mutant, both in comics and in show
>>
>>154028380
That shit flopped long before they appeared.
>dude le epic space empires and characters are here, like Hulk and Black Panther.
>>
>>154028327
They should have never been moved from being fantastic four supporting characteres.

Here is your no-prize!

Not really, they have too much agency to be F4 supporting cast. They need Reed's help too often for a futuristic society and if it happens the other way its rather pointless for an F4 book. The problem is that it's a science fiction concept in capeshit flavour, and Marvel is too obsessed with "The world outside your window" to let that side shine through. Likewise you fucking hardly ever get an actual Namor book about Atlantis, DC treats Aquaman 500 million times better.

The X-Men stole Kamala for movie synergy.

The Inhumans, and also Black Panther and even Wyatt Wingfoot for that matter, only got worked into the pages of FF after plans for Marvel to launch a bunch of new titles in the mid 60s fell apart. Locking them into that supporting role just because you're salty about Marvel pushing them in the 2010s is just dumb.
>>
>>154028327
The Inhumans are deeply unpopular, to the point even the comic audience rejects them
>>
>>154030091
It's literally just the X-fags who hate the Inhumans that much, and who the hell cares what those gays want?
>>
>>154030091
They are cool but i think they work best when they are support to the Fantastic Four series.

60 years later and only BP somehow made it, but then again, he was also an Avenger
>>
>>154030375
not really, because inhumans were supposed to be muties 2.0, only more obnoxious
>>
>>154030593
>not really, because inhumans were supposed to be muties 2.0, only more obnoxious
Except I don't see that whatsoever and I was reading the Inhuman book and they didn't deny themselves as being part of the human species the moment they became inhuman and knew what that was.
>>
>>154030593
>not really, because inhumans were supposed to be muties 2.0
Fuck off tourist.
>>
>>154031263
Nta, but it was clear Marvel wanted them to take the place of the X-men back in the 2010’s
Everybody knew what Marvel was going for when they started pushing the Inhumans
>>
>>154031382
And all those decades before that just don't exist right?
>>
>>154030375
After Medusa got turned into a total bitch (even ignoring IvX completely) and Black Bolt into a turbocuck, I wouldn't pin it on X-Men fans. Marvel really went out of their way to make them unlikeable, and that's not counting the ones like Gorgon and Karnak who already weren't likeable at all.
>>
>>154031382
What exactly was the place that the Inhumans was supposed to take over when the X-Men constantly had more ongoing series even at the height of the inhuman's purse and the height of anti X-Men -push which predated the Inhumans push such as Avengers versus x-men?
>>
>>154031454
How exactly were they unlikeable that Blackboard face a amount of consequences for blowing up the floating island and was NOT the king anymore but but Medusa was still the queen?
>>
>>154029111
rather Kamala jumped ship and jumped on cyke's dyke
>>
>>154030593
>muties 2.0, only more obnoxious

mutants obnoxious peak was krakoa. theres nothing inhumans have done that has come close to that level
>>
>>154032478
When you think about it, Krakoa was almost a rehash of the inhuman farts cult arc.
>>
>>154032856
Except NO it was not the X-Men will already pretty much a cult this before the inhumans and the Inhumans are not like it cult just because you want to call them worse than the X-Men.
Also the X-Men have done violence when anyone offered a cure to being a mutant so why should the Inhumans before to destroy their mist the moment it's inconvenience for someone else for the moment when it means the inhuman civilization which has been around for thousands of years would be over because of that ?
>>
>>154028327
who knows
>>
>>154028380
>Their presence made sure we won’t be getting any more books set in space for a long time
You're delusional, cosmic titles have always had a more difficult time gaining the same level of success and traction as terrestrial Marvel, it was dropping off well before their reveal.
>>
>>154033091
The Inhumans had a cult-like worship of Terrigen longer than mutants have had their weird ideas about mutanthood being sacred BS since their society is based upon genetic stratification and compatibility with it.
>>
>>154030071
It noticeable that black bolt wasn't part of the pitch

It's honestly amazing how badly they fucked up the Inhuman push. Lockjaw is marketable as hell. You think people wouldn't go for a big slobbery bulldog that teleports. That was a ticket to print cash.
>>
>>154037876
Bulldogs are ugly as fuck
>>
>>154037905
Agreed, and I say it as a dog person
