It's partially because the MMPR suits and name had 3 seasons to ingrain themselves into the public memory while all the others only had one, and that's 50/50 Saban being a cheap kike and smart marketing.
And due to that, MMPR is the only one that sales, and so it's the only one they make any toys or stories of, and so it's the only one that sales.

I know that during MMPR s2, the rating were so hot that Saban was able to get The White Light Part 2 to premier on prime time television rather than it's normal timeslot.
And that by Turbo, the ratings were so low that In Space, the writers were worried they might get fired when the show got canceled, so they actually did their fucking job.
And it worked well enough to boost the ratings for a few more seasons.

The new costumes are also -okay-.
