Probably got a brief taste of virality and kept chasing that hit. This is the twitter profile of the "leader." I don't like to point to twitter follower numbers but since this was a twitter hashtag movement it feels relevant. This guy doesn't even qualify for botted grift influencer status let alone community leader. These are struggling e-celeb who couldn't even follow farm successfully numbers. The dumbest part was the list of demands on the site they made. It had to add a bunch of goalpost moving caveats that quickly fell apart under any scrutiny.
