Was this an actual thing or was it just a handful of nobodies make a stink that got blown out of proportion for click bait?

Bleeding Cool had multiple articles about it every single day.

I looked into it out of curiosity after some shilling attempts over the past week and it was basically just one or two guys trying to start shit on twitter. Probably got a brief taste of virality and kept chasing that hit. This is the twitter profile of the "leader." I don't like to point to twitter follower numbers but since this was a twitter hashtag movement it feels relevant. This guy doesn't even qualify for botted grift influencer status let alone community leader. These are struggling e-celeb who couldn't even follow farm successfully numbers. The dumbest part was the list of demands on the site they made. It had to add a bunch of goalpost moving caveats that quickly fell apart under any scrutiny.
