To me, these show feel more like older cartoons. They're gentler paced compared to a lot of the ADHD shit aimed at kids these days, and also don't treat the younger audience like retards and have compelling plots and character arcs.

The target audience are too young to have watched the original when it was airing so I think it's inevitable they'll retread some old ground at least to begin with. It's pretty amazing they made it as a sequel at all and not just a reboot, I guess they figured enough kids were still watching it on streaming it was worth continuing.

They have dropped all the Protectors stuff from Season 4 as >>154050543 mentions, but I'm not at all bothered by that as I though it was a misstep for the series anyway, trying to turn it into something it wasn't.
