Any good stories of Ironman in this suit from the 90s?
>>154054179>I have a story.>Once, Iron Man wore Armor Model 13.>it was nice.
>>154054179That whole run, starting with #278 is one of the best Iron Man eras, for that armor in particular, start with #300.
>>154054179I'm gonna read it soon but the issues with Technovore look cool as fuck and I'm kinda pissed that I think this is the only era where Tony has this space station and this suit as well. They are all dope.
THIS >>154055424 keminski run is good the issue is that it suffers a lot from 90's having to read multiple comics to get the full story.>>154055466 its worth reading specially because the construction of the stark station is during the silver centurion era and it only dips when you reach teen tony
>>154056397>the issue is that it suffers a lot from 90's having to read multiple comics to get the full story. There's only two stories in the Kaminski run where that's the case, the first two issues are part of the Galactic Storm event, and there's a Mandarin story later in the run that crosses over with War Machine, Force Works and Marvel Comics Presents, but trades collect that entire story so it's not a problem unless you're collecting single issues.>and it only dips when you reach teen tonyThat's a separate run. I don't think people are ready to have a conversation about it not even being so bad by modern standards considering how Iron Man comics got so bad for so long. The current run is just a solidly cromulent book and that's the best Iron Man comics have been in a long, long time. But after Bendis, Slott, and then Iron Man getting turned into an X-book, suddenly teen Tony doesn't seem so bad anymore.
>>154056772>But after Bendis, Slott, and then Iron Man getting turned into an X-book, suddenly teen Tony doesn't seem so bad anymore.honestly fair with teen tony at least got two or three issues in with Bendis i couldnt get passed issue two
Really starting to wish I grabbed more the epic collections because they are starting to get up in price. Way to keep your books in stark, Marvel you miserable fucks.
>>154056772I think 00s runs are good or at least decent the problem are some bad tales. Is Gillen and Marvel now the start of Tony decade of shame
>>154060879>Is Gillen and Marvel now the start of Tony decade of shameBefore that we had the post-Civil War period where the writers of every other book wanted to bash Tony, and the Fraction era largely being a years-long deconstruction arc. And before them, there's Extremis, constantly shilled by casuals as the 'definitive' Iron Man story, and a substantial part of that story is Ellis' awful OCs shaming Tony for things he'd done decades ago and had already spent the rest of his life atoning for. Most of the writers since were just following Ellis' lead, because a man like Tony is what they've been indoctrinated to resent. The average comic writer has difficulty in seeing him as the hero.
>>154054179Why would an iron man story be good?
>>154061443From the 60s to the 90s, it used to happen regularly back in the day, believe it or not.The current run is actually enjoyable by modern Marvel standards.
>>154060941thats the thing anon the point of maya hansen is to be a bad person she at no point is proven right and all she does is trying to shame tony so she can feel better about herself
>>154064547Can you make excuses for the old hippy getting to shame Tony for page after page too?
>>154054179Season 2 of the cartoon is good.
>>154060941the original plan for Iron Man was to take a character Stan knew the audience would initially dislike but make them like him anyways. Stan's a bit senile here but it's an interesting interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZy6KUy3DcU
>>154064995Actually no, that part did really sucked. I get what Ellis tried to write undermining Tony to show how hollow maya is. Just for to show us why Tony is in the right the extremist terrorist on a Killin spree I guess that's the joke but it still feels pretty shitty
