Why were Nick shows back in the 90s so ugly looking? No joke, I didn't really give Hey Arnold much of a chance until I was a teenager, because as a little kid, I got distracted by the ugly character designs. It almost looked Klasky Csupo in a sense. The only 90s nicktoon that wasn't ugly came out in 1999 and is much more of a 2000s nicktoon. Even Doug has this oddness to its character designs and not just the skin colors. As Told By Ginger and Invader Zim were the last ugly nicktoons since afterwards the network got less ugly.
