Thats why James Gunn is a really bad pick for all this because his sense of humor has always been subversion and mockery. When he tries to be 'sincere' like in gotg3 it just feels like baby shit. In most of his Superman movie Clark is whining at people and its wanting to make you side with him by posing that as relatable and humble.
