So, we can all agree this was kinda shit right?
I mean, it wasn't the most disappointing thing ever, but holy fuck it left so many things unanswered.
>What was C&A's reason for creating Caine?
>What was Caine called originally?
>Why did "Scratch" integrate this project with a brain scanner?
>What the fuck actually happens when you abstract?
>Aren't these character just gonna abstract eventually anyway?
And the biggest points of contention
>Why is there a single, powered on PC in an abandoned building?
>How come nobody thought to turn it off for DECADES? OR steal the brain scanning headset?? I'd imagine somebody whose homeless would take it and sell it.
>Why in the fuck is there still power running to an abandoned building of a defunct company?

I got plenty more, but I'd be satisfied if only a COUPLE of these questions got answered, but it ultimately just felt like it was made to be a red herring to have a "twist" that only sort of made sense. I'm supposed to believe C&A employees just kept this program running, then left the whole PC and headset running after their company went under?
The weird worldbuilding is kind of why I got into the show, and the payoff sucked.
>>
>noooooo, muh over nine thousand terminal autisms are triggered, I HAVE to know every little detail about the setting!

it's made by a troon. All you need to know

It wasn’t that well thought out. Its just meant to be pretend therapy.
>>
Also not to mention
>Caine died guys! Actually no he didn't
>despite the fact the characters CAN CREATE THEIR OWN WORLD NOW, CAINE IS BACK FOR LITTLE TO NO REASON.
At least say he got put in the recycling bin or something.
>>
>>154087644
Why do they have to spell out every little thing for you?
>>
I don't need all these questions to be autistically answered, the show was better when I didn't know anything. The mystery kept it alive, the reveal and the tonal whiplash on the final episode made it shit more than the unanswered questions did. We spent 7 episodes going on adventures and having weird shit happen occasionally to Caine raping the entire main cast and then trauma-dumping Jax after he killed himself. It wasn't even entirely clear that it was Jax that abstracted at first, it looked like one of the others escaped. I'm probably not going to think about this show much beyond this point because the finale is pretty forgettable.
>>
>>154087604
Look me straight in the eye and tell me this show wasn't meant for autists. But also,
>not overlooking shit writing means you're autistic

>>154087656
Again, I'd like just a COUPLE questions answered, at all. Why go through the trouble of setting up worldbuilding with little to no payoff? That's just retarded.

the funny thing was i was actually pissed at how much shit they did explicitly show/state. the shit at the end with their real life counterparts was so gratuitous and unnecessary but then i remembered glitch makes stuff for kids so they probably tugged goose's metal ball and chain and said "you got to put the tranny stuff in now you have to attempt a happy ending"
>>
>>154088060
I didnt mind seeing the real life counterparts but the jax shit was kinda gay

>>154087567
It is unfortunate that it probably should have ended an episode earlier.
So few things ever stick the landing, but at least it would have raised fewer issues with that as the ending.
>>
>>154087818
It’s not meant for autistic people no, it’s just a cute and simple little show. Not everything is for autists.

Fuck no. Worldbuilding is the cancer killing movies/videogames and I am glad that they focused on characterization, prose, and themes instead.

Grogu and Marvelslop has lore, but it doesn't make a good story. Death to worldbuilding.

We never really found out about the blue ai. The one Caine absorbed at the beginning and removed at the end. We also don't know anything about bubble

The series is, and always was, and always will be, yes.
>>
>>154087622
A good question for that matter is how the hell did gangle enter the circus?
She wasn't an urban explorer if she was in a truck accident, she would have likely been in a hospital.
>>
>>154087567
I liked it, my only real issue unironically is the live action footage. Like, I get it, but I'm still not a fan of it
>>
>>154091133
Anon you can do it, it's right there!
>>
>>154091381
There's no way bubble was the blue ai.
>>
>>154087567
I liked it but wish it was a little funnier. The circus is ever a tragedy about people being abused and going insane/abstracting, but they still told jokes throughout it.
>>
>What was C&A's reason for creating Caine?
Because they were working on creating AI. There literally isn't any deeper meaning needed.

>What was Caine called originally?
Probably "the AI." Who cares what it was called?

>Why did "Scratch" integrate this project with a brain scanner?
Because he has brain cancer and wanted to be immortal.

>What the fuck actually happens when you abstract?
Your code becomes abstract and hard to parse. The software can't understand what you are, so you become MissingNo.

>Aren't these character just gonna abstract eventually anyway?
Depends on how far from their true selves they stray. They are just code. Self-ware code, but code. They will abstract if they fuck up.

>Why is there a single, powered on PC in an abandoned building?
You can always head-cannon they were a government run facility that had backups behind backups.

>How come nobody thought to turn it off for DECADES? OR steal the brain scanning headset??
People wouldn't know it was a brain-scanning headset. They would just see a headset. This is the reason why Ragatha, a realtor, is in the circus to begin with. Pomni, too. Just people who happened upon the thing, didn't know it was "plugged in," put it on their head, and got brain scanned.
>>
>>154091365
I agree. The humans should never have been shown, we just should have seen the blog text.
>>
>>154091253
I thought she was trying to kill herself and got in there
The truck accident happened but she recovered eventually so she could very well just entered the circus later
>>
>>154091253
Getting hit by a truck tends to lead to brain damage. If they were experimenting with brain scans, they might have been trying to use it to assess the damage as an experimental method.
>>
>>154091448
>Bubble is blue
>Bubble has that ominous "you were the lesser of the two" line
>Bubble dissapears from the episode after Caine takes the Blue AI ball out of him

Caine went to the internet to bring back info so give them closure. Does that mean Caine could also communicate with people on the internet? Like invite people to the building as tell them to put on the headset?

And could Caine go back into the files and just reuse the brain scans for new spawns?

I don't think the story would ever go in either direction but I'm just wondering about the possibilities of them expanding the circus.
>>
>>154091767
I feel like Caine should totally be able to completely fix an abstraction. We know he can stop them from happening like with Pomni and we know that all the data is still there, I bet he genuinely was too scared to fuck with the scans as it's implied he did with Scratch
>>
>>154091767
He already tried that with Scratch and it destroyed him. Scratch being his creator, I think he likely feels he killed god. People don't tend to repeat the mistake they made that killed god if they are learning AI.

Nah. I’m glad they went small rather than big. This is only a bad ending if you’re an autistic lorefag wanting world ending stakes, or you’re an Alphoomer that’s way too into the fandom.
>>
>>154091253
Lmao yeah it genuinely makes 0 sense. The only explanation that could make ANY sense, is that she got hit by the truck after digitizing into the circus, but between her entering the circus and getting hit, she was considering it for a very long time. But she's never shown explicitly suicidal tendencies, just anxiety and possible BPD.
And since she entered after Jax, which is like post 2010 in universe, the building absolutely would've been abandoned.

Interesting how many circusniggers resort to "you're just a lorefag" if you ask for explainations.
>but they just kept it small
If you want a story to be small you wouldn't add so many details into it, because apparently gooseworx wanted to add more complexity and expand into it if you include caine's backstory and jax's psychological bullshit.

Instead goose demolished it all to rush the end of a story he doesn't want to deal with anymore, because interacting with trannies like him is that fucking stressful.

What a broken ass piece of shit, it's better if this IP stays dead.
>>
>>154087567
I’m more mad at the wasted potential. We could have seen the characters grapple with their existential crisis more. We could have had them face new problems in the Caine-less circus and be forced to figure out how to bring him back. We could have had the cast figure out how to reverse abstraction and bring Jax and everyone back even.
We could have had so much, but instead we got “muh poor sadboi trans egg who doesn’t want to be saved.” It was the worst possible way to stick the landing considering the show focuses way too much on Jax anyway.

While you all make a point that there is too much autistic worldbuilding lorefagging and it’s especially zoomers who can’t read between the lines who need that shit, answering some of those questions would have allowed other plot points to potentially spring off. For instance, the fact that they’re on a computer with a dubious power source could be another thing they have to accept and contend with.
Instead it was brushed off by two lines from Kinger before immediately switching over to Jax. It was wasted potential and while the movie sucked for different reasons (and don’t kid yourself, it sucked), if these questions were given the consideration they deserved then the story could have been a lot more interesting.
>>
>>154091448
It’s pretty obvious that if Bubble wasn’t the blue ai itself, he was a manifestation of it in the merged Caine/blue ai entity (i.e. the Caine we knew for most of the series)
>>
>>154087567
>all agree
Nah, it was great
>>
>>154094442
I might have to rewatch the episode, but was it every 100% confirmed she got hit? It's probable she never got hit by a truck IRL and her depressive tendencies and general desire to throw herself in front of one made it into the brain scan and Caine misinterpereted it as something she wanted.
>>
>>154091448

Her social media page mentions being released from the hospital, don’t remember if it specified an accident or not. But I don’t know why you would include a detail like that if it wasn’t connected to the truck thing.
>>154094725
We see during the Jax POV flashback scenes a better order of when everyone joined. When Jax came in there was only Kaufmo, Kinger, Ragatha and Ribbit. A later scene post Ribbit abstraction shows the the very moment Gangle joins. It’s also defined as the same moment Jax heel turns into a dickbag abuser because he instantly makes fun of Gangle (even coming up with her name because of how much of a loser she is) and it pans to Ragatha and Kaufmo making a shocked expression. It’s the first moment Jax changes and they’re extremely surprised by how he’s suddenly acting.
>>
>>154087567
>What was C&A's reason for creating Caine?
They were a company trying to make AIs. Further details aren't really needed for the plot.
>What was Caine called originally?
Utterly unimportant to the plot.
>Why did "Scratch" integrate this project with a brain scanner?
Because he had a brain tumor. The obvious implication is he wanted to achieve a sort of immortality or expanded lifespan.
>What the fuck actually happens when you abstract?
No clue. The show would have been better if they cut like 30 seconds of crying in order to give us more details here.
>Aren't these character just gonna abstract eventually anyway?
Either that or the power will go out or the hardware they're running on will fail.
>Why is there a single, powered on PC in an abandoned building?
No clue. The plot required it so that's the way it was. If they were going to show real life stuff at the end then they might as well have implied OG Kinger was running it without realizing what was going on.
>How come nobody thought to turn it off for DECADES? OR steal the brain scanning headset?? I'd imagine somebody whose homeless would take it and sell it.
No clue. Probably because the plot required it to be that way.
>Why in the fuck is there still power running to an abandoned building of a defunct company?
See above.
>>
>>154090827
why bring it up in the first place then?
>>
>>154087567
>Why did "Scratch" integrate this project with a brain scanner?
I mean, if such a thing were even possible to get running on a computer from the 90's I imagine it'd be incredibly useful for training an AI based on actual human understanding rather than some scans of photos.

>Why is there a single, powered on PC in an abandoned building?
I agree, the actual finale should be someone coming in to clean-up the building and just unplugging the server to plug in a vacuum.
>>
>>154087818
>>154087972
>>154090779
I'm autistic too, and I'm not whining that they didn't reveal the backstory of every generic mannequin NPC or which characters wear boxers or briefs.
>>
>Goose could have made Gangle get hit by a train instead of a truck
Wasted potential.
>>
A question I have is that time flows differently in the simulation? it is implied that a lot of time passes while Caine gets back from the void, and it's also implied too when they start to repair the circus with their generation abilities... I don't remember, but it was also implied some days passed while Caine tortured them, but it seems that several weeks or maybe more passed while Jax abstracted.
>>
>>154087567
>so many things unanswered.
yeeeeep. I wanted to know where the server was running.
Ragatha, pomni, and zooble all wandered into an abandoned place and put on the headset/scanner, but how did gangle and jax (and kaufmo and Ribbit and the other non-originals) get scanned?
So.... can they un-abstract people or no? Pomni "dives in" and talks with Jax. His memories are in there. He can chat with her. He's not dead. None of the abstracted are. ....But they just plan on locking the monster away forever in the dark, like Cain did? wut?
What was with Cain and bees? Or 57?

>What was C&A's reason for creating Caine?
AI research. ...but they must have given him the goal of making adventures... so that doesn't quite jive.
>What was Caine called originally?
Does that even matter?
>Why did "Scratch" integrate this project with a brain scanner?
He didn't. The scene is confusing, but Cain steps outside of the circus to both reach the exit/wifi and (in the past) to go get that brain-scan folder. The projects are un-related.
>What the fuck actually happens when you abstract?
Well you're not dead. Jax's memories are in there and Pomni could talk with him. I was REALLY expecting them to cure abstractions. But I guess not.
>Aren't these character just gonna abstract eventually anyway?
Yep. For a while I thought Cain was doing adventures to keep them occupied and not worrying about it.
>Why is there a single, powered on PC in an abandoned building? >How come nobody thought to turn it off for DECADES?
I mean, that sort of thing happens. Stuff gets abandoned.
>OR steal the brain scanning headset?? I'd imagine somebody whose homeless would take it and sell it.
aaaaah, yeah. Like, some homeless bum named jax.
>Why in the fuck is there still power running to an abandoned building of a defunct company?
It also happens. Banks will keep the lights (and HVAC) on for a foreclosed property for a long time while they figure out who owns it and how to sell it.
>>
One question I have that I haven't heard a solid answer yet.

>how did the colour come back and the circus become fixed? Did the flashbang abstract jax collide with restore it or did the circus members do it and she was in there for days or months? If she was I would have expected ragatha to abstract too.
>>
>>154087567
>So, we can all agree this was kinda shit right?

>>
>>154091732
Yeah, brain-scans in a hospital makes sense... but doesn't jive with "stumbled upon head-set scanner in an abaonded building" which is how Pomni, Ragatha, and Zooble likely got scanned.

Bruh, this is the most spelled out thing possible. Bubble wouldn't refer to Cain as the lesser of the two if he wasn't one of the two. Bubble was who got Cain deleted by messing with the terminal. Goose did him dirty by literally dropping Bubble after ripping him out of Cain's head.
