Ragatha should have had her own guilt complex about "failing Ribbit" by missing the signs that something was up with her. It'd give her character some fucking relevance, it'd counteract Jax's myopic view of the situation, it'd give their dynamic more tragedy in adding another "you mean this whole time we could have been friends" aspect to it all by having another thing in common that they failed to bond over, it'd provide a "positive answer" to Jax's succumbing to despair by having Ragatha talk about her guilt and overcome it (which in turn reinforces Pomni not carrying guilt over losing Jax), and it'd give Ribbit more of a sense of presence outside of just existing as a plot device to drive Jax crazy

Just came back from the theater. Rewatched the first seven episodes with a friend beforehand. With the entire series fresh in my mind, my ultimate thoughts are it needed more episodes. At least two. One Ragatha episode, and one Pomni episode. Pomni ultimately came off as as very generic, protagonist character, who really didn't have a lot to her. and a lot to overcome. She's just Built Different and able to handle and adapt to the circus, and not be brought down.I also think, as much as he was a fun character, everything with Gummygoo was pointless, and should have been cut for more development with another character. Having episode TWO dedicated to a one off was just a plain mistake.
