Well for starters I like art. I know that may be a bit of a condescending jumping off point but it feels worth writing here: I go out of my way to read, view, watch, or "consume" art made by people who aren't like me. I'm aware that the creator herself is trans, as well as had full creative control over the show, so I think it's valid to view all 9 episodes together as a piece of art.
I know that the culture war has held you down and raped you in the mouth for as long as you've been alive but we really do not need to operate from a position of othering people. The idea that I shouldn't be inherently invested in seeing a subset of the population I share a community with get a massive "W" in a time of our society where people wake up every day with a raging hate boner is one I reject. I have trans friends, trans coworkers, and it brings me joy to know that the most popular cartoon of the decade was made by a member of their community drenched in what it means to belong to their community.

2nd time seeing it in the theater. 1st time was all adults, for sure, was quiet. 2nd time more middle schoolers but were also well behaved and only a few of them did memes but they stayed quiet when they needed to.

I think what I noticed between adults and kids, at least me vs them, was I'm well aware of how horrible Jax is as an adult. I couldn't quite tell if they understood what Jax did to Ribbit was fucked up or not, because we just got his tragic backstory and maybe they felt that everything he did was ok, "he thought he killed his mom", but they still left the theater rooting for him and sad when he was gone.

To me Caine is naive and childish, he is the kid brother, spoiled and hording the playground toys, but he equally LOVES them and can't process how complex humans really are. This will be good financially for Glitch, but it won't be good for its reputation, and I'm sure that inevitably some fanfic will appear with a much better development and conclusion than this ending that the hype is the only thing keeping it afloat.

And it will happen that someone does a better job fixing that ending and giving the general public what they wanted: a happy but tragic ending that is spectacular, epic and truly satisfying to watch.

That one shot of all the different Jaxes playing poker together made me realize that basically my entire life/persona is fake. There's an argument to be made that every "self" is performative, but that single shot put an arrow through my heart with the message that I need to talk to someone. Not a therapist or someone paid to care, but someone in my life who actually loves me. My mother, my father, my siblings, fuck at least I have people like that, I've been so ungrateful. Murder Drones ending was fine. It is correct that the newer Glitch shows seem to be trending on being around 8 episodes. We'll have to see with Gaslight, KoG and Gameoverse to be sure. We don't actually know whether it's just Glitch's production model or whether the showrunners infact do just want to limit the shows to these lengths.

I wouldn't be so harsh on Liam Vickers, every unfinished thing he's done before hasn't been a fully produced series.
Lets Split Up is a practice animatic. Cliffside is a Pilot he made pretty much entirely on his own, which is what got Glitch's attention in the first place. Internecion Cube is a practice animatic series which was an early predecessor for the ideas that eventually led to Murder Drones. And Murder Drones is his first actual full series. The "Liam never finishes anything" meme is just that, a meme. Don't take it too seriously.
