One of my least favourite episodes desu. It had a funny premise with Rick trying and failing to figure out how the punch worked. I agree. This episode stunk. It's just like all the other "forgettably bad" episodes. Where it's just nonsense and overly meta. It's like the heist episode except instead of heist movies it's kung fu movies they're making fun of. Even the Jerry b-plot was weak. And even for Jerry overly domestic and self contained. Except this time it's with a random background character against a robot who basically has no character at all. Both plots do things we've seen a million times on the show already. If you didn't like last week's episode claiming it "doesn't say anything new" it at least had something to say and did it a new way. This episode has nothing to say and it all transpires in the most mundane places with the most archetypal narrative. Even Rick and Morty were barely characters this episode—being 100% reactive and not really adhering to any kind of consistency. It was just rubbish, didn't even have good action scenes. If you wrote the plot down on paper it'd read like the most generic trash, like you asked ChatGPT to write a R&M episode

The setup made it feel like this was gonna be another Satan/Pissmaster/Nimbus episode, then with Morty & Liu Sun hanging out it felt like it might turn into another Portal Brothers. Then Morty coming crying home to Rick felt incredibly regressive for his character, which had been growing more independent until this season. Then Jerry fucks the poolbot and everything picks up again.Only thing I thought sucked was when R&M are celebrating beating the death punch and are just running around in the polycule apartment, and the bit goes on for a little too long. Worst of the season, but still a good episode.Where are the fucking poolbot lewds. Look at the fuck-me eyes she's giving here.
