Latin American here. I grew up watching Pinky and the Brain (the series). For a long time I assumed it was its own thing. I didn't find out it was an Animaniacs spin-off until years later. Once I got internet access of my own I gave it a chance but didn't enjoy it as much. The slapstick was funny but most of the jokes about pop culture and political satire went over my head. P&TB still holds up to me thanks to its witty dialogue and less US-centric humor (so to speak).

Animaniacs has been considered an unfunny, arrogant, overly expensive vanity project before some of you were even born. It used to be sage knowledge that this show tried so hard to be like classic animation but was so fucking unfunny that no child actually had it as one of their favorites.
