It was a mediocre movie, I don't get why everyone glazes it so much, it was nothing special and felt more like a backdoor pilot to a potential series more than anything.

As first post said, shit movie. Nostalgia bait faggot shit with a bit of revisionism sprinkled into the mix. Everything is fucking pastel coloured when Toronto was a gritty hellhole to live in back in 2002 (which is when the movie was set) and still is to this day now with jeets running amuck. Overall a shitty movie which is just a glorified biopic of some random millennial canuck chink. Oh and shitty calarts/beanmouth designs to boot.

>>154120529This is the major problem with it, it's the beginning of Pixar's visual decline, even if they had bad movies before this one (and oh boy, they did have bad movies) they at least had good ass visuals. I can't say that about Turning Red or any Pixar movie since, as they just look like a grub hub commercial. Even when they're decent movies, they still just look like ass visually.Face it, all CG studios are basically the same now, and they all make shit that looks like ass, save for the occasional not ass looking one... and it's not coming from Pixar.
